Shattering the levy
seeping in every deep well
droplets fall
rolling and heavyCoveting more sorrow
then you'll ever know
yet saved along the way
by a few kind souls
Pulling the drowning,
Penniless,
Lifeless,
tattered spirit afloat
Please tell me what I owe
I am here, Alive
overwhelmed with love and hope
A soothing breath
a moments rest
before the clattering storm
again carries me on
through the gilded horizon
Forever in debt
in your hands
of faith
and reflective grace
Never sauntering away
faltering
or gawking with aimless curiosity
I have been moved to see
those who work the light of the earth-
effortlessly
Whom at the end of each day
matter most to me.
