Surprise? No, I haven't lost my way to Global Unity. Saddam Hussein is a poet and novelist and used to be an actor. When he realised that Britain and the USA would not suffer him to remain in power under any circumstances, he lost interest in the military and spent his last months in Bagdad completing his fourth novel. I have not got its name, but it has been published and is available in French and Arabic.IP: Logged |

I would be most interested to read his work. How can one get it? Has it been translated at all? I think most people would be simply fascinated and want to know more. What about the other novels and the poetry? I really would like to know more about his work. Have you read some of it? Gia IP: Logged |

Hi, Gia, No I haven't read his work. I don't read many novels. The only European language it has been translated into is French as far as I know. You can get in touch with his English representative via the BBC. As far as content goes, the novels are romantic and heroic. The style is alien to our culture. We would consider it overblown and florid, but we are not competent to judge the Arabic.IP: Logged |
