I dunno what he did, lol.

It's kind of like "the disk",
or "the microfilm", in a spy movie.
Hitchcock had a name for it.
It's the object of suspense.
It's the thing that's so important
to everybody in the story, but
makes no difference to the reader.
If/When the writer discloses it,
that only compromises the suspense.

In order for the readers to form
solid moral judgments, they would
need to know what Max did.
Withholding this information
forces the suspension of judgment.
And that's what I call true suspense.

I think it is worth considering
that a judgement for or against
is still a judgement.

Forgiveness is a judgement.

Who are we to forgive;
who are we to judge?

The soul is deep.

The will may be deeper still.

People have their own lives to lead,
their own choices, and judgements,
to make...

More and more,
I begin to think that
there is no right or wrong answer.

Some answers may be
more right than others...

But, most of the time,
it seems like the best choice,
or the best option in a situation,
does not even appear in the mind
of the person or people who
have to make the decision.

Sorry,..
I start to say something,
and I quickly say too much.

But that is, I suppose,
the one thing I have to say.

That there is always more to say.

That there is too much to say.

And I cannot be sure how
my words reveal or conceal
the Truth...

Or if anything I say
has the potential to do either.

Maybe there is really
so very little to say:

Purify your body,
abstaining from toxins
and eating living foods.

Consecrate your mind to prayer,
and to contemplation of virtue.

With your hands,
give someone a meal,
or a hug.

That about covers it.

Eat Pray Love

Who said that?
It was a book, right?

Hmm...

((Google))

Oh, it's a movie, too!

With Julia Roberts.
She's a Scorpio.

Looks neat.

Okay, bye.

Thanks for reading
my mini-story.

Very clever, Valus. I enjoyed the read. I enjoy Ray Bradbury's short stories. Recently read his "Toynbee Convector" which takes one to mysterious places. Good work!

Thanks for the link. Mother gets credit for exposing him to me. I like that he is self educated, so to speak. I liked reading my Mom's collection of mystery and sci-fi paperbacks when I was rather young. She's a Cap/Cap Mn/Scorp rising born on the 15th.

I'm such a simpleton. Sorry, I have to research how to post my chart. Part of me likes living in the "olden days" I must admit.

Oh, Mermaid!!! You are a chinese horse just like me, living in that same state, and tied up with 4's and 8's, wow.

OK, V, I am with you on the non-judgement, but, it's like my particular weird mind can go from, he smothered her baby in a fit of rage, to he insulted her mother! Sorry if that is insensitive, but you know, people forgive the strangest things, now don't they? And they also DON'T forgive the slightest things...
But that right there is a judgement coming from my own personal moral compass, so I'll shut up now.

Love this:
Ego - Thich Nhat Hanh

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FoVuPTqj7gk&NR=1

1966 is the Fire Horse

Did you know that, traditionally, there have tended to be the fewest babies born, in China, in the year of the Fire Horse, because they are said to be "too independent". I love that. I'm an Earth Horse, but Yin and I were both born in the "hour" (really, its about a 24 minute period) of the Fire Horse.

I'm self-educated, so to speak. And computers escape me, too. Luckily, I've got a wizard close by. ... I like your chart. It's kind of like Jennifer Jones's chart. Do you know her, the old actress. She died recently. Did you see "Song of Bernadette"?

4&8's are rough, huh?
I got 6's (birthday number and lifepath),
5's (soul urge and personality),
and a 1 (expression).

I think Max killed her cat. Like Dwight in "The Office"... Kidding!
My initial reaction was to ask that question too. But the morning moment was so beautiful ... you almost don't want to know what happened. It doesn't matter. It's over. They'll both have a lifetime to contemplate what went wrong and how it got there.

Valus,
I love this:

Purify your body,
abstaining from toxins
and eating living foods.

Consecrate your mind to prayer,
and to contemplation of virtue.

With your hands,
give someone a meal,
or a hug.

Something I try to live by but it's really, really hard. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTD1UbMl8no
I identify with this elder's words.
Sorry to distract from the main topic.

Thanks Gypsee for putting up my chart! I Actually left all family behind in OH in '85 and headed South. I do better a distance away from them. Thanks Valus, a brief glance at the links and I'm fascinated. I'm a lot freaked out by everything happening to me lately. Not in my wildest imagination could I have forseen my "twilight zone" past year. I'm going to take in those links, hopefully with full presence.
I have an aunt Bernadette and her sister, a nun ( a 4) teaches art and works with autistic children now. Recently met another Bernadette who I feel is a heaven sent "teacher", an author. who may be a key player in my "story."
Independence and iron wills truly represent my husband, my children, and myself.
Even IQ in his free analysis doesn't like my 26, but I deal with it and I think God has graced me with some pretty amazing coping mechanisms and channels though.
Gypsee, I know that you know the difficulty of dealing with physical medical complexities and hidden disease. It's really better to shift the focus outward and away from me.
So far, I've got about 15 placements (with Asteroids) in Pisces/7th house. The astrology of today seems ultra complex. I like to take the mathematical approach of solving the equation down to pure simplification myself. My senior comp teacher told me my writing was too wordy, so I try be aware of this.
Thanks again for the guidance. It is so very appreciated.

Thanks for the numerology info as I'm just now seeing & understanding the "builder" stuff. My very gifted Massage Therapist is studying this right now as well. In fact, she's a Pisces, born 3/2, like the very Ms. Jennifer Jones you introduced me to above. My life is pretty interesting indeed.

Narcissitic Personality Disorder

To qualify you must have 5 or more of the following...

Has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)

Is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love

Believes that he or she is "special" and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions)

Requires excessive admiration

Has a sense of entitlement, i.e., unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations

Is interpersonally exploitative, i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends

Lacks empathy: Is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others

Is often envious of others or believes others are envious of him or her

Shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes

These people are also referred to as emotional vampires.

Yin and mermaid,

You may be right, wheels. I'm not sure. I have her saying his name, mostly, for emphasis, in lieu of expletives. It's dramatic, but then, her character struck me as somewhat dramatic, possibly even affected. If her dialogue sounds artificial, it's not the author, but the character, exhibiting this trait. However, it may be the story is too short to make this apparent, in which case, I probably should omit it, or find a way to make it more explicit. I think you're right about him, though; he doesn't need to say her name, and it does sound like a clumsy inclusion. Thank you for your input.

Valus, thanks for "Song of Bernadette" referral. Wow, did that release a much needed flood of tears. I've got "A Sister Mary I Told You So" poem in me. But truly, I have forgiven the lesser nuns. Jennifer Jones had a beautiful presence indeed. The meditation links too, much needed as well. Thanks.
