distracted by daylight i've wandered in the green forgetting my soul until nowthe golden tablet dissolves submerged in a bath of trees and spreads like fine powder magenta in the sky silvered night rises a trembling steeple within me to pierce with hopeful longing the flesh of my poor heart and all the world is flesh cooling underneath the sky quiet and deep and full of more than human feeling but you my love are spirit never gathered nor dispersed everpresent, undiscovered and observant IP: Logged |

I remember Eliot's evening etherized upon a table in the penultimate stanza. Sublime ideas and images from the 3rd stanza onwards... Image of the sun as being a golden tablet (I have it correct I hope?) is very good....IP: Logged |
