If I looked into your eyes,
what would I see?
Would I see you?
Or the mask in front of you?If I were to touch you,
what would I feel?
Would I feel you?
Or the projection in front of you?
Why can't we be real?
What would it take to make you see?
That i'm not here to hurt you, only help you to believe,
you can be the best you you can be.
Underneath all this armour,
who lives within?
Is it just a child?
needing a hand to hold?
Behind all the smoke and mirrors,
who stands behind the illusion?
Is it just the vulnerability,
that's keeping you away from me?
Why can't we be real?
What would it take to make you see?
That i'm not here to hurt you, only help you to believe,
you can be the best you you can be.
If I were to ask you a question,
what would you say?
Would I get an honest answer,
or would you simply, give me the same old story?
If you were to tell me,
that you'd be alright.
Would you expect me to believe you,
like everybody else seems to do?
