God is awake with me this morning mind and heart soldered together flowing and perfectly alignedLeafing through renditions asking questions wondering why? I thought I could find answers among the jargon of planets and stars yet the prettiness and promises didn't capture the essence of my heart I looked to friends only to find they tiptoe lightly afraid to hurt me Speak plainly I love truth the old broken and weary can hear the unspoken anyways I thought I spied love once, upon a hill the colors flushed with vibrant streams of light caught my blue-green eyes I climbed and climbed for years reached out, within the astral air albeit nothing was there A trick, an illusion, a cruel oasis as I thirsted and hungered in the middle of a dry desert of delusion My thoughts are mine you may borrow them juggle and play with them But as a beautiful child selfish and stubborn I want them back sometime I need the vibration It keeps me alive Within this strange obstinate wonderful life full of surprise. ------------------ "Well, I like to eat, sleep, drink, and be in love. I like to work, read, learn, and understand life" ~ Langston Hughes

Thank you! Mirage, I'm hesitant to say just because I couldn't possibly believe more dire news could come this morning- but it did. I'm in the equation of things happening in 3's and when it rains it pours. However; I'm also feeling an appreciation of anything not topsy turvey, but rather sturdy, even in the tiniest notions, gestures, and the most happenstance simplistic fragments of life's ongoing beauty. Remembering the bright side. *edit thanks for the song, oh I love Mr. Rogers! IP: Logged |

all passing.... and somber new beginnings (OOPS, oh-oh!! just got surprised just now.....!! I thought I would be able to post for a several more hours, but roommate got a ride home [yay, coz it's cold outside]. Thought I'd be able to abide in a little more stillness and quiet.... but oh no, he's 'addicted' to having the TV on ALL the time! oh welp, c'est Life! and it's okay. (I'd miss-out on some 'good TV shows' if he wasn't around-- so there's good side to it too.) Music REALLY helps me soothe self and keeps me inspired, or lifts me out of whatever funks I can find myself in.... I know! I can get my guitar out and make my own Space Music in the back there. haha I can be 'flexible'.... Love you fellow-Gemmy! I know that YOU can understand! May you have a wholesome weekend.... Mirage...Yes the dreaded tv- my family members often have that blasted thing on all the time as well. I've become an expert at tuning out the noise. I didn't know you played the guitar...how wonderful! I play the piano mediocrely, my teacher looked like a leprechaun and was so strict- yelped a lot and made me nervous, but many things he taught and instilled have stuck even still to this day- so I suppose he did something right. Love you too! And yes I understand.. IP: Logged |

I read deep love, you my friend seemed to have turned open your heart inside out on the streets of someone else's life. Well, love, as Ms. Goodman said, is all, and all is love. IP: Logged |

I suppose we tend to decipher poetry uniquely and differently from person to person. I just remember writing this one- a few years back and being thankful that morning, I was given the opportunity to sift through and sort things out, breathe poetry and release during that particular said period. Mirage Thank you once again for your kind thoughts and words. Beautiful song! I love me some E.J. from time to time. I would imagine you have a lovely singing voice. I play mostly older pop music and some sappy love songs. Mainly when no one is home! I don't like an audience either. Remember when I told you about getting up the nerve to try "spoken" poetry...it's basically the same kind of shyness- but I will get over that sooner or later. I'm sorry to hear you're having Chiron tears. I'm sending a giant hug through the ethers to greet you. IP: Logged |

Thank you Nabila Mirage, thanks it was a nice- I ventured down to my parent's farm for a long weekend. It was lovely to spend some time with them. I suppose they are what some may deem as soul mates, or what have you--they have been together for 51 years, and are just a beautiful couple to be around. It was so peaceful there, my dad said "Jen you should write a poem." In which I told him "Nah I'm liking this feeling of an unbusy mind for a change" It is a wonderful place for the aesthetics and writing though. I have created many poems either during the early morning hush or in the evenings surrounded by sounds of crickets there. I also ended up adding 6 more females to my home- I picked up peeps (hens) and can't wait for fresh organic eggs eventually, there is such a noticeable difference when using them for baking.
