I have been reserching the third eye chakra, pineal gland and dmt for some time. I do meditation frequently. Im now convinced the third eye is nothing more than just heightened perception and awareness. There is a lot of disinfo out there about the third eye chakra that one who has opened their third eye will gain supernatural/paranormal powers. They will see aliens, creatures, spirits in other dimensions/worlds as well as gain psychic abilities. Basically you see the physical world with your two eyes and the third eye will let you see the spiritual world.

There are many videos on Youtube in how to open your third eye.

I must be feeling disconnected spirtually because I now think its all bs. Its real but the information on what its purpose is, is misleading.

Anybody with any knowledge about this?

I say research and develop your own opinions like you are doing.

Go with what feels right to you.

With something so intangible it is difficult if not impossible to find a clear cut answer?

The spiritual world as in sixth sense. You can see ghosts, spirits, angels, higher dimensions. Things we normally cant see.

hello,

in the chinese culture, they believe in the third eye as well. one of my best friend's aunt has the third eye power, she can actually see spirits. Many spirits also come to her to get reincarnated or blessings for whatever unfinished business they have before leaving this "world." another friend's dad has the third eye power that allows him to both see and feel. I　am assuming it really depends on the person.

The clairvoyant abilites for seeing and hearing spirits, other wordly things is dependent on many factors: your past life karma and your purpose in this life; and to what degree your kundalini is awake and what chakras it has acitvated. The physiology of the psychic body is as complex as the physical - so, siddhis, powers or abilites will be different for each individual. As said earlier, you can only believe in what you have personally experienced or observed. That is the best and safest way.

@moonpie So you have gathered from the information you have read that if your third eye is open you ought to see these things. Is that so? The Truth is closer than that. Its in our heart and we NEED NOT SEE ALL THESE THINGS AT ALL. We may or may not as astro keen has pointed out. Depends on what milestones we cross which in turn depends on our past karmas. But NO there is no hard and fast rule that one has to. One may be way ahead, if I may put it this way (because actually the path is not linear), on his spiritual path and not see these beings. Thats a fact. Read some sites that give you a proper insight into such things. I have listed a few in a thread named Divine Unity in Religious Diversities in Divine Diversities forum. They make an interesting read and will give you factual position.

Its like, if you want to reach a particular destination and take the road, you will get certain milestones. The same may not be visible by train. Further more if you take the plane you may not see any of them and land straight in your destination. Do you see?
