Some nights when I was 3 up until the age of 5 I preffered to sleep next to mum & dad in their bed. I'd lay awake watching the door way where Id always see two men. They standing there as if they were chatting to eachother. I think about this alot, and I never, ever mentioned what I saw to anyone.
They appeard to me as black shadows, well formed though as I could see detail. They'd stay there all night until the sun rose in the morning.
I was never frightened if I was in bed with the covers up to my chin, but I wouldnt dare walk out through them.
Everynight I wanted to sleep in my parents bed again to see them, and watch.
Since I moved out of that house and grew up somewhere else I never saw them again for a while.

Until fairly recently at my nanas new house where funky things would happen with the lights, I stay at my nanas on some occasions, and she explained that she would turn the stairs light off when she is settled to watch tv. And later on the light would come on, she first thought it may have been a power fault, but the switch had physically moved down.
I witnessed this one night I stayed with her, and the hallway did get rather cold when I went to investigate. And then we both looked up above the stairs onto the next floor, and we both saw a figure walk into the bedroom, and our first reaction was to assume someone was in the house.
We walked up stairs together holding hands, walked into the bedroom, turned lights on and no one was around, we both new what we really saw.

There the only two experiences I have had with spirits, and when I discuss this with friends, or family now some of them too have seen them as a child. I wonder why only as a child most people see them?

If you have seen them as a child or any other experiences I'd love you to share it with me and eachother.
I research alot about spirits, and Im hoping I will see them agian soon.

My mother and My partner have had there unique experiences too....will continue soon.

Hey SunChild... nice to meet you.

Yeah, I've always been highly intuitive to all kinds of things. "The other side", sensing things that when on in a particular spot, or what may happen in the future. I'm a lucid dreamer... yeah... all of it.

I was going to start a topic on the experiences I've been having with light bulbs blowing out when a major disaster is about to happen, even if it is thwarted, as long as it is being planned and all this energy is around me.

Wow, lightbulbs blowing out!! spooky, because....my partner has high nervous tension/anxiety. And he'd always tell me that light bulbs would blow out when he'd walk under them once every month or so. And I though yeah yeah!!!
But now that Ive been with him for almost 3 years I can tell you when he walks in the park, driving at night, walking in the streets and many other occasions a light bulb blows out at the exact moment he walks under them. My My!
Definantly the energy he's giving off.

My Mother had an experience with ghosts/spirit, a frightening one. She grew up as a christian all her childhood and when she came into her twenties she became interested witchcraft and spells ect. Her parents resented her practises, because their beliefs is that witchcraft is anti-christ.
One night my mother fell asleep only to be woken in the early hours of the morning with a demon like spirit towering over her bed. She immediately screamed and got told through her inner ear, that the magic she was doing at the time was dangerous and she must stop.
I remember that morning when I had to help her rid our house of all spells & witchcraft materials.
Later that day her friend came over and mum told her what had happend. Her friend sympathised and began to explain when she did her seance that a stone candle bowl broke in two and lightening flashed at their shed at the same moment. She knew it was a sign to stop.

Im not into witchcraft myself. I dont think one should cast spells. I pray & meditate and that is as far as I go. As for ghosts and spirits (good ones) Im not afraid.

When it comes to evil doings, I've broken it down like this. Information is power. Therefore ANY information, no matter how trivial, can be used negatively.

Take it one more step, information which deals directly with life and death, especially when it is a practice or study of human behavior - whether it's psychology, witchcraft, astrology - has a greater potential to do damage.

It took me YEARS to figure out how to apply astrology to my life in pure way. It's like handing a kid a machine gun. Yeah, it can be used to protect him, but will he be overprotective?

And I think that's a big big danger in astrology, as well as irresponsible psychologists, etc.

Your intuition is the one thing you can trust, and consider yourselves EXTREMELY blessed that you are in tune with it - enough to follow through on it, which is the other danger - having the knowledge and not taking action.

Hmmmmmm yeah ghosts and childhood.

I never really tell these stories, because most people dont believe me.....but they hold some of the clearest memories of my childhood.....

My family moved into a HUGE 26 room farmhouse when I was seven. I started having the most fantastical dreams, night terrors, and just creepy vibes in general. I was the only person who slept upstairs, and the rest of my family were very very far away, in another wing of the house downstairs.

I had the typical dreams of being chased thru the house by entities, and that something was trying to get into my room thru what I nicknamed "troll doors"..very tiny doors at either ends of my room, one going to the attic and the other going to an unused part of the upstairs. I used to wake up so terrified I started sleeping with rosaries (I was raised Catholic.)

In one dream, something was after me in my room. My little TV was on in the dream, and the overhead light which was just a light bulb hanging. The entity came after me thru one of the troll doors, but all I could feel was a cold breeze. Suddenly, the TV started flickering on and off in my dream, and I knew i needed to get out of the room. By the real door was the stovepipe from the wood furnace. In the dream, something started choking me as I got to the door, and I blacked out in the dream. I woke up on the floor by the pipe, and the overhead light bulb was on.....at 3 am. Weird.

It gets better. Not long after this one, I had a dream of a beautiful summerday and I was coming down the stairs, which leads to the outside door, and the kitchen lays in front also. I could see my mom outside. AN apparition was coming at me from the pantry, whooshing towards me with arms outstreched, and I screamed- but turned the corner in the kitchen to the doorway of the living room. the ghost passed thru me, and at my feet was the body of a man, in the doorway.

I almost died in this house, in my upstairs room.....along with that wood stove came all the issues with upkeep. One night I woke up to my father opening my bedroom window. The entire upstairs was filled with smoke. Some cinders from the pipe had set my floor on fire. Had my father not woken up to go out to the barn to rouse the cattle in the cold, I would have died. And, of course, there was the flock of bats that got into my room once......

These are just a few of the dreams. I always felt like that house was out to get me. 10 years or so later, my mother told me that they were able to get that farmstead so cheap because the previous owner had died in it......a cookie if you guessed it.....in the doorway of the living room. On the floor, from a heart attack.

I spent alot of time trying to forget and dismiss my childhood "vapors." Now, its easier to deal with it. I think its easier to see and feel these things as a child based on what Linda has told us about the development of the pitutitary gland. A child has not yet suspended disbelief. I also had an imaginary friend, I swore I could speak with animals, and I saw auras.

The Universe is a fascinating place, isnt it?

Hope I havent bored y'all.......

Hi astro,
Interesting it is to know the dangers these practises can posess if used incorrectly.

Thanks for sharing Motherkonfessor, you experiences are very significant & strong.
As with speaking with animals and seeing auras, I dont remember if I saw auras as a child but I did have a stronger connection with animals, especially dangerous instects.
I used to pick up spiders & bees. And never got bitten, I supposed they sensed that I wouldnt be of any harm to them. My mother always told me off for touching spiders and bees and said they will hurt you one day. But never happened. I still went behind her back and chased lizards in my back yard, played with spiders, and bees. Sounds weird now but I felt like they were apart of me and that I could be one with nature and surroundings. That I had no fear. And they did not sense any negativity.
I really think I very well have played in a lions cage when I was little.
But now I would be eaten alive. As fears have been programmed into my head as well as the 'dangers' that it would be a instant reaction if a lion confronted me. He'd sense it and I'd be his breakfast.

Im not sure if what im seeing is an aura but, when I stare at an object long enough I do notice a white glow from say, trees, people, animals, rocks, flowers, food. I stare for a while and the glow pops up instantly. But as Linda said, everything thats living has an aura, plants and food do too. I know I will see auras one day though. I will manifest the ability. We all can.

Manifestations work in different ways too. I have manifested my own accidents, losing an object ect. I can do the same actions everyday, for example, walking down my stairs everymorning in winter when the stair are wet and duey. I can do this everyday with things on my mind other than what im doing at that moment which is--walking down the stairs. The one day I thought to myself 'these stairs are slippery, hope I dont slip' --and then I slip.
Also If Im in a car with my partner his car wasnt quite road worthy at the time for a couple of weeks whilst we had been driving around, and the day I said, "I hope we dont run into a police car", a police car pulled us over. (we didnt get into serious trouble ) Police were on the brain as was slipping over, and it manifested it self.

The universe is a fascinating place. So much yet to understand.

Back when I was a very young child, maybe 3 or 4, had bedroom off kitchen, everynite saw a man and women walking around our kitchen. Could decribe them to this day, (in my 50's now), what they dressed like, she always had a pink dress on. At that time don't even thing we owned TV (strange in this day and age), so no it wasn't dream or fantasy, but, as I grew up saw clothing that they wore in movies and TV, know now its was basically dated late 19th century. Saw them for about 2 years then moved. Told my mother once, said oh just a dream, NO don't think so.

I had an "imaginary" friend when I was little, up until I was about 7 if I remember correctly. I always heard or sensed strange things as a kid, even smelled strange things, but my ability to see has never been my most highly developed. I see shadows and twinkling lights on occassion ... and once there was a strange green blob ...
My mother usually didn't say much about it, except to pray for guidance and know that we are not alone, until I was older. Then she started to share some of her old, tribal wisdom with me
I think lots of people see (or hear or sense, etc) things as children ... but just block it out or think they imagined it as they grow up. Or just choose to disbelieve because of what others might think. So many times the subject has come up amongst friends, and there's always a pause and then somebody shares their story ... lol, it usually sounds like an embarassed confession, until the rest of us agree and start to share, too. Then we don't feel as weird.

As a child I was intuitive, but I don't recall seeing anything out of the ordinary. When I was 19, I started opening my mind up more to spiritual books and ideas. During this time I began a meditation practice. This helped me become more aware of my intuition.

When I was 23, I had a manic episode. In the two months leading up to my mental breakdown, I was experiencing work/money/family problems. I started sleeping and eating less and started meditating more. I was frequently feeling euphoria. I felt like I could read minds, and if I concentrated, I was telekinetic (ex: I could move a pencil across the table without touching it).

To make a long story short, after about a week, I started getting more confused, more mood-swings, and I was tired, but could not sleep. It felt like a door was open in my mind that I could not close. My doctor diagnosed me as bipolar and put me on lithium which I still take today.

Although that was a traumatic experience, it taught me a lot about the mind and the illusory nature of reality. And also we as human beings we are all capable of much more than we can imagine!
Thanks,
Blazini

Talking about ghosts, I just want to grab some marshmellows and sit by a fire.

Interesting stuff.

I'm happy this topic was brought up because I've been thinking about it a lot lately.

I've always had a very vibrant imagination especially as a child and I recall one of my experiences with a ghost/demon figure when I was about 5. I still remember the image very vividly, but still am unsure as to whether it was a figment of my imagination or real. Like Sun Child I also slept in either my grandmother or mother's bed. I'm a restless sleeper and can wake up at the drop of a hat. One night I woke up and walked down the hall to my mother's room. As I crossed the hallway there was a strange rustling in my grandpa's Office. I looked in and saw a strange black demon like figure almost remsembling a gremmlin or goblin. It was about the same height as me and was extremely thin. It stood and gawked at me as I walked to my mothers room. That remains one of my most frightening memories still.

AJ, I read that you also experience Lucid Dreaming. I've just noticed I had this ability about two years ago but now I'm beginning to think I've had it my whole life. Sometimes during my Lucid moments I experience very frightening moments. When I lucid dream I'm always in the same place I'm sleeping. Is it the same for you?

For some reason my soul only stays in the area I'm sleeping and hovers very closely to my body. Sometimes the things in my room are upside down or warped and this is very frightening to me. Also at times I feel like someone is grabbing/pulling me or weighing me down. When I realise that it's only a lucid dream I try my best to calm myself down but it still really scares me.

Most of the time I feel such an overwhelming intuitive awareness of my environment. I think that it's opened up several psychic realms in my life some of which can be disturbing. I need to focus more on chanelling out the negative energy from others and myself.

I've thought about it astrologically and I think maybe it has to do with my Uranus singleton in the 3rd house. It's the only mutable planet in my chart. I guess that would make my mind somewhat imressionable since it's in the 3rd house.

Lucid dreaming and scary vapours

I've had lucid dreams all my life as well. I am able to say "oh this is a dream, alright", and take control of what happens. I developed this ability when I was about 7 years old. My sister and I were struck by lightning in my grandmother's front yard. The lightning struck very close to us, or hit us, I don't know, no one could really see, it was a bright flash. Our hair was singed and what remained stuck out on end. Our clothing was red hot and frayed at the edges but we were cold and couldn't speak for a few hours. By the time we got through the queue at emergency we were fine. It was then that I started having recurring dreams and lucid dreams.

My grandparent's home is rumoured to have been built on a grave site. They have always had terrifying things going on there. Objects go missing for years then turn up on the dining table. While watching telly there are loud knocks on the floor beneath everyone. The first time they heard it, it was like someone rapping with a big pipe against the floorboards from in the basement. My grandfather went to investigate. He switched on the light and went downstairs. The dog's hairs stood straight up on her back and she snarled and refused to go down. He felt a hand fall down on his shoulder and turned around to punch but no one was there. He came upstairs unable to speak. They just shut off the lights and went to bed. It happened several times afterward and they would just go to bed immediately. Never happened when I was there, but I've always felt something in one corner of that basement, so I'm sure an energy is present.

Lately I've been having some scary experiences when I realise I'm sleeping in my bed and there is something standing near me waiting to harm me and I try to move but Im paralysed and slowly gather up the energy to make a loud moaning noise and push with all my might to press with my left shoulder on the bed and push with my legs until I can move and wake myself up, hearing myself screaming at that point, freezing cold. I feel like something was torturing me, but I don't think so. This usually happens after a past life regression or karma work.
