I'm yoursNow, this is just so beautiful. It's the first time I've seen this clip, and can you tell me you did not shiver watching it? Brings a tear to your eye! Reminds me of that kiwi song "Slice of Heaven" and maybe the Turtles "Happy Together". Would've love to see that clip I love the message of this song too, like he creates his own words, but the underlying message is like we're all related so let's have fun - why waste it being serious? Anyhow, I really felt compelled to share this. Heaps of Love, Dean. ------------------ I realized it for the first time in my life: there is nothing but mystery in the world, how it hides behind the fabric of our poor, browbeat days, shining brightly, and we don't even know it. I tried playing it and it said the video wasn't available any more. That's one of my favorite songs though. IP: Logged |

It seems OK now. Another song I'm loving atm is [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFFhV9wMei8]Dream Catch Me[url] by Newton Faulkner. Beautiful. You know, I'm reading some self help books on Parenting such as "How to Raise Happy Children", "Love, Laughter, and Family", "Raising Boys" and "Mankind" - all by Stephen Biddulf, and the first three (haven't started the last yet) have all got me thinking that men have a big responsibility in today's day and age. We are strong, independent, leaders, helpful, supportive, listeners, etc, but have just come off a generation of apathetic workers that handed over the money to women they expected to do everything. Therefore, we feel some "nurture" from this, but the world around us does not work that way. The feminist movement has gone a long way towards equality. I prefer the term "equalist" but anyhow, my point is that we have responsibilities, but we still need to be ourselves, and these songs are like the inner being within these people - the soprano notes they hit are like their soul expressing a whole different level. Steve talks of the movement occurring with men, where they can be all the things I mentioned previously, but are still them selves. It's like, the stronger men are, knowing how strong women can be, will create super people, that will lead the world into a massively better place - you with me? It boggles the mind.Heaps of Love, Dean. IP: Logged | |
