I was musing on the NN(True Node) and began wondering about how I act in situations.My NN is at 11Pisces. As the last sign of the Zodiac, I give off an impression of being an old soul. I was wondering about drugs to be specific. All my friends without exception have taken some or the other form of drugs and continue to take them. It ranges all from chewable tobacco(betel nut, snuff) to alcohol(usually vodka and whiskey) to cigarettes which are kinda popular with them and hard drugs like opium and cocaine. I don't judge them for it because it doesn't matter to me. I've had them re-iterate their experiences to me about how great or wonderful something is and how incredible they find it, the things they feel and think while under the influence and more than once I've found myself say something like, 'Ah-huh,' or just shrug. It is not that I've never wanted to take any drugs. There was a time during my second year in college, when I was too depressed and cutting, I had 'craved' for an escape from my daily routine, but had never really taken them. Now that I am somewhat back to being centered, I find the whole thing with drugs just boring. They hold no sway over me. I wonder if this has got something to do with my NN: I've been there, seen it, done it all in my previous trips and now, it simply does not lure me. Thoughts, Knowflakes? ------------------

shrugsprobably just common sense
You do have the South Lunar Node in Virgo, and so that would suggest that you have natural health orientation.
The North Lunar Node would suggest that you see the big picture and be spiritual. I have Moon in Pisces square Neptune,and I stay away from drugs. I have avoided alcohol since Jan 1999 too. Seeing how drug abuse and alcoholism run strong in my family influenced me to stay away from drugs and alcohol.
I have a Virgo Ascendant, and so that could fit with my approach as a health oriented person to some extent.

My NN is in Sag,conjunct the GC.
I have always stayed away from drugs/alcohol cuz I knew my grasp on reality was tenuous without them

I agree with Glaucus here. I have see to many people with drug/drinking problems..
I have no interest in taking any drugs, and I dont associate with anyone that takes hard core drugs.. Drinking yes, but if they drink alot, I disconnect my assoication with them.
I really dont want to see anymore drug/alochol abuse in my life.
Even my self I rarely drink.. Im not even into drinking.. Drug abuse effects all the people,that care for that person... One day they WILL hit rock bottom...

Well, I don't know if it has anything to do with your NN, but I feel the exact same way about them.My NN is in Aquarius, and I have a Pisces Moon and Mars. I've NEVER been very swayed or tempted to try anything other than alocohol (I don't really consider this to be a drug, being Russian lol) and I've always been very careful with it. My parents used to let me drink when I was a child, in very small amounts, of course. Moderation is key, I suppose. Cigarette smoke makes me want to puke, pot smoke has a similar effect. Hard drugs never appealed to me because of my health nuttiness and fear of losing control. Also, I've always felt that it's much more rewarding to feel something "real," rather than some sort of illusory high, that you have to come down from anyway. And like Ami Anne said, my grip on reality is already quite loose as well... I don't feel that I need anything to exacerbate this further!  IP: Logged | |
