How does go about interpreting midpoints and their aspects? Here are two of mine:sun/moon midpoint is Leo 11*19' conjunct Venus at Leo 11*5' in the 12th house venus/mars midpoint is Libra 1*27' conjunct Uranus at Libra 3*8' in the 2nd house IP: Logged |

I am wondering this myself. My near Sun/Moon midpoint is conjunct my North Node with my far Sun/Moon midpoint conjunct my South Node with an orb of 0°21'. So I guess this is a bump asking for those midpoint astrologer's knowledge! IP: Logged |

The midpoints describes the expression of the planet. You can consider them as being in conjunction or merged in relation to that planet. For example: Venus = Sun/Moon So the way you are expressing love or you are relating to other people is influenced by or influencing your core personality. http://newwayastrology.tumblr.com/post/27345008168/sun-moon-midpoint-redux http://johnsandbach.com/?page_id=7243 Venus will play a significant part in your life and personality, and it is through Venusian things (creativity, relationships, romance etc. and what Venus rules) that you will be able to experience inner balance and completeness. The nodal axis stands for connections aside some other things, so your connections or significant relationships bring you in contact with the core of your inner being and bring you a sense of balance and inner completeness (in the positive sense).

Venus/Mars mp is in too wide orbit to be on Uranus

Noel Tyl and Basil Fearrington use a 2 degree orb with midpoints. Ebertin used 1,5 degrees with midpoints, as does Robert Hand (at least with direct midpoints). Cosmobiology uses a strict one degree. Mc Broom uses a 2 degree orb, I think. Munkasey also mentions the 2 degree orb. (and yes I agree, good book) Anyway personally I would also pay most attention to midpoints within 1 degree, however with conjunctions/oppositions the 2 degree orb holds as well. But nothing above that. AT least I haven`t seen it so far.

Robert Hand states that the direct midpoints are as important as major aspects. (using an 1,5 degree orb - direct midpoints are conjunction and opposition btw). And yes, I have found this to be very true; I even have found the square (but within 1 degree orb) to be very relevant. IP: Logged |

Funny the title of that book has "Unleashing the Power of the Planets." That's how midpoints between planets that are conjunct feel. Too much energy.IP: Logged |

^^Since my ascendant is after my conjunctions, it managed to escape the power of the midpoints. The midpoints occur in house twelve, maybe this intensifies the role of subliminal energy, some? I firmly believe this form of energy and the subconscious mind are very powerful and in something called subliminal telepathy. It's the type that just flows, that no one is consciously aware of. Reminds me of the phrase, "hindsight is always 20/20."IP: Logged |

Thanks for the links. If anything, I'd say the uranus = venus/mars is much more me than the venus = sun/moon. I am very unconventional (iconoclastic even) when it comes to matters of love and sex. But my poor venus is an a rough place hiding as it is in the 12th and in a dastardly square to saturn. IP: Logged |

if the orb is tight, the Saturn square might also affect the Sun/Moon-mp. Of course that is very different from a Venus=Sumn/Moon without Saturn IP: Logged |
