I started by considering aspects to the Persona Sun, because my logic was that I'd express those aspects as part of how I personally experience that planet. Next I consider aspects to the Ascendant ruler. And finally I look for trends and patterns that seem to keep showing up in my persona charts to see what's most emphasized.

Yes, Sun is, of course, one of the most important planets in Persona charts. Planet whose Persona chart you are casting is extremely important as well. For example, in Mars Persona, it's the Mars; in Amor Persona, it's Amor etc.
Moon is the emotional side of PC.
ASC and MC is how is the object of PC outwardly expressed.
Also, pay special attention to planets and important asteroids that are on the angles of PC. For example, if there is Juno conjunct MC in Venus PC, marriage may be very important to you.

But when it comes to Persona charts of angles, you must know your EXACT birth time. Just 30 seconds off and PC of your Ascendant may look completely different (aspect will probably be the same, but angles will be completely different).

It's also extremely interesting to use PCs in synastry. For example, if you have Venus conjunct someone's Mars, you can make synastry of his Mars PC and your Venus PC, to see exact manifestation of your Venus-Mars conjunction Or you can look up their Venus PC to see, if you fit their image of ideal woman
