What is a progression? I see it used here and there, but I haven't an explanation for it. Websites just confuse me and besides, I like hearing it from people, not websites. I like the experience and first-hand knowledge. What does it mean and/or what effect does it have on the individual? Also, how is a progression determined? IP: Logged |

Secondary prog, most common, are a day for a yr, meaning your natal chart progresses as in moves forward by calendar day for every yr that you are alive. So if you were born on the 1st and at 25 went to look at your sec prog chart then the date in the lil corner would reflect by day how many yrs you've been living, if you were born in May it'd show a chart for May 26 or so of the yr you were born. Evolving attitudes can be seen in the p.chart and they play into natal tendencies to form some interesting reactions. Try having your Pisces Sun progress to form a square with your natal Neptune and then come back and tell us all the lil ways you started to deceive yourself lol. Or come back after noticing that your progressed Moon was in your natal 8th and talk to us about the lil skeletons that started fumbling around in your psyche and how much fun that was (it's usually not). Or it could be something juicy like p.Sun on the n.Aries Asc and all the new attn you're getting, cept don't forget the natal Sun is conj Uranus so you may be getting attn for starting a revolt. I pay more attn to progress and natal aspects than to transits which aren't always telling it how it is just based on first look. That's my view anyway.IP: Logged |

I get it, thanks a lot.So at 15, my Sun progressed into Sagittarius, giving me more traits to go along with the Scorpio ones I've lived and learned already? IP: Logged |

It's like a Sagittarius top coat for a lil while, then it'll be Capricorn, etc. Sagittarius causes Scorp to be more blunt about what they feel and are going through, they turn a bit more outward, they're eager to share what they've learned with others so you take what you know about people and the way they work and you implement it into a new philosophy. It doesn't make you a Sadge, but it does lend some extroversion to an intense hidden part of your chart and also some enthusiasm to it all. Like you get giddy over realizing what you've overcome as a Scorp and use that to uplift yourself and maybe others and have a need to test that part of yourself through new adventures, things like that. Scorpio to Sadge is like being reborn and living life with new eyes that are ripe for experience.IP: Logged | |
