Below is an edited chart with the 12:06 oath time. Call me a rebel without a clue but I rarely use Placidus. For event charts I prefer Koch. *Edited 1/21/09
This chart practically speaks. It has a voice. Quite a few thoughts on it. What do you think? ---

I thought I'd also add a chart that is not equal house so people can have alternatives to comment on.

Also, depending on what time he actually takes the oath, the chart could change.

The first thing I love about this chart is the Sun-Jupiter conjunction. That is the best of the best reward aspects. There will be incredible energies focused on humanitarianism, social justice, freedom is truly back. When this country was born Jupiter was conjunct Sun. It literally means God has blessed it.

Yes, the Moon is void-of-course and if there is anything that Obama has taught is that it makes no difference. When he was announced his run for the Senate and when he announced his run for the presidency, the Moon was void-of-course. I've come to believe that the unexpected should be expected. As the Moon in Scorpio suggests "to control by knowing and having the need to be self-sufficient" also coupled with a strong need to research, dig deep, drag the swamp and reach the highest heights for information, it will be good for the country to get back to that kind of sureness for facts.

With Mercury conjunct Sun (cazimi) there will be constant discussion about service, it's started already, because of Mercury's rulership of the 6th House of service. Obama's own 6th House is packed with planets, he's a guy who is talking what he practices and practicing what he preaches, you know what I mean. It's not just lip service on his part.

With Uranus opposite Saturn for the 2nd time, there's a strong emphasis on breaking away from the old to get to the new, with Saturn ruling the publicity 10th House, this will add to the excitement of the new and exciting humanitarian form of government. With Venus added into the mix shining on Saturn along with Uranus, the world will see an exciting social image coming shining from the presidency. Venus being social, Uranus being exciting, Saturn ruling the 10th House of publicity. The 10th House is only one of the publicity houses, along with the 7th House.

When Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and/or Neptune are in conjunction along with the Sun, there is a strong feeling of idealism, whether for good or bad (bad being to use it as a defense mechanism) so we have the Sun-Jupiter-Mercury conjunction in Aquarius, that electric feeling of idealism is in the air, and don't forget the genius aspects of Aquarius.

The last thing I'll comment on is Pluto in the 8th House. This is a placement that suggests someone who will be in constant consultation with someone or many people, whether spiritually or psychologically or analytically. With Pluto in Capricorn, the sign of government, it will be consultation about how to reform governemtn. So, he's not just whistling "Dixie" when he says he's going to gather many opinions and lots of advice, and expect the American people to express their opinions.

Now I can't wait to see what time he will take the oath. He'll probably be right on time or early, is my prediction. For me, as an African American, I know that when we want to project a successful appearance, we rise above, what we call, "colored people's time" which means late. I'll bet anyone here he'll take the oath no later than exactly at 12:00 PM.

I was watching local New York City news on Channel 7 this afternoon and found out that no matter what time the oath is spoken, he only becomes president exactly at 12:00 Noon. If he speaks the oath earlier, than he is on the former presidents clock, if it's after, it doesn't matter, he automatically is president at 12:00 Noon.

Please, other's join in, I'm not really a mundane astrology expert although I'm interested and learning.

Geo, that was really awesome, thank you!
I'm extremely excited about the whole thing myself.

Saturn-Uranus opposition is really interesting to me in regards to the situation. Sums a lot up, actually

I'm excited, too. And I hope we will be saved. LOOOOOL!!!!

To quote Pee Wee Herman "Praise Jambi!" You know how there's a law suit happening where some people want to take the words, "...So help me God." out of the presidents oath? Well, I think they should replace it with, "...So help me Jambi!"

I'm laughing like a silly kid who should have been in bed hours ago. LOOOLL!!!!

Can you imagine if Obama really said that tomorrow. I'd laugh my head off.

Things that popped for me:
  • Stellium in Aquarius ~ Conj. Obama's ASC.
  • Uranus as 'keynote' speaker (dispositor) conj ...
  • The 'voice' chart ruler Venus, in throaty Taurus * I worried about the time, Taurus is the rising sign until 12:49 P.M.
  • No fire
  • Mars is quite happy in Cappy (exalted)
  • Cazimi Sun-Merc (under '17 arc minutes) unlike a Combust, Cazimi can indicate inspiration.
  • Pluto at 'home' in the 8th
  • Bully boy Saturn (and I mean that in a good way opposing Uranus which we are all dealing with, has quite a bit of adjustment, and a full plate. I feel that the possible trial for war crimes ( past, torture) against Bush admin. will be on the front burner.
  • Moon at 29 Scorp, Pluto in the 8th maybe I am projecting my own needs but a public denouncement of a non-secret cannot be shoveled under the rug.
  • Above horizon dominance of planets / lights gives even more focus on Saturn 'R' (past issues again), that interestingly is in the natural Leo House (Obama again)
I too am looking forward to an exact time. Especially for the Vertex. I also wanted to post a syn chart with the Obama Natal and a chart for the new congress from last week with the inauguration chart. I am a real fan of the multi- composite for center of gravity. After all the data is in I will multi comp all charts with the USA chart.

so it seems that it has just started, but i don't understand, what are the astrologers doing? don't they plan around things like the void of course moon and, preferably Mercury retrograde? void of moon is over in less than 1 hour, but they still started while it is valid.

where is obama's natal moon? i know its in gemini but is it void of course as well? because it seems all his "marker" dates including the election and those mentioned above have had void of course moons. debbi kempton smith is big on this one and though it is supposed to be a bad time for business deals and beginning ventures it seems to work well for mr o...

He was sworn in at 12:05, should probably adjust the time (though nothing much will have changed)

Since the Moon void-of -course is good for Obama, perhaps it should be changed in his honor to the Moon Void of Course!!

I couldn't have been more wrong. I guess I should be glad that no one took me up on my bet.

He didn't take the oath early, I actually got a time of 12:06 PM, giving the chart an ASC of 16 degrees 7 minutes. When you don't use EQUAL HOUSE SYSTEM but instead use the PLACIDUS HOUSE SYSTEM it squeezes 4 PLANETS INTO THE 10TH HOUSE!! That is including the North Node and Chiron.

Hi Node,

I'm loving your points.

Chiron is Peregrine, so in this instance I will hope for the Magi Astrologers version of Chiron positivity. But it really is a feeling of healing humanity, healing the wounds inflicted on our freedoms (Aquarius as humanity, innovation and freedom).

The Midpoint Pictures are AWESOME!!!

Aries Point=Pluto
Aries Point=Sun/Moon - emphasizing powerful relationships, relating powerfully, publically.

Pluto=Sun/Moon- Potential new perspective in relationship; critical time of development; separation to start anew

Pluto=Moon/Jupiter - Major plans for triumph; the big picture and the power to make it appear.

Pluto=Moon/Mercury - New perspectives; persuasion or being persuaded; the force of thought.

Saturn=ASC/MC - Austerity is important as part of maturity and reliability; conservatism is comfortable (that's a major theme that's already being expressed in this new administration, responsibility, restraint and maturity is all). Although I don't always agree with it or understand it, Vedic astrologers have long considered Saturn to be the planet of dark skin people and I've seen it express itself in close to 50 charts, so it's so interesting that our first black president would have Saturn=ASC/MC. Such an important and powerful midpoint of leadership, maturity, responsibility, rules and stability.

ASC=Neptune/Node - Appearing strange to others; being duped. (I hope it's just the strange appearance plus the hope, idealism and compassion that Neptune offers.

Jupiter-Node/MC - Social life and entertainment; church groups; togetherness.

Sun=Jupiter/MC - Illumination of one's purpose in life; new opportunities; recognition and success.

There is more, I just can't finish it right now. These midpoints are Noel Tyl's interpretation of Ebertin's original interpretations from "Applied Cosmobiology".

I'm floored by the things in this chart. It even freaks me out a little bit when things magically come together like this. Actual MAGIC! Astrology overwhelming impresses me in this moment. It's so awe inspiring.

More about that Saturn=ASC/MC

It's about planning, ambition and strategy. So desperately needed at this time.
