Hi guys,I've recently come upon Linda Goodman's books and it's whipped me deeper into the world of Astrology than i've ever been before, and i'm loving it. The only question I have is - why do I keep getting a different ascendant based on where I look/what I read? Can someone explain to me how being in Australia and being in a different time zone to the US would change my ascendant? I.e. is it the HOUR of day anywhere, or hour of day in America, etc.. Sometimes I get scorpio, othertimes I get sagittarius, and it's driving me insane. I was born 16 July 1988 at 1330pm in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. Could someone please help? Matt IP: Logged |

You have a Sagittarius Asc, 2.11 to be precise. You have a superb chart, it is a chart of a potential Sports Star, with Mars in Aries, Leo Moon, Sag Ascendant and the tenacity of a Cancer Sun. Ascendant trines Mars as well. The Asteroid of the goddess of good fortune TYCHE is transiting your Ascendant exactly, which is probably why you chose to log in here and ask the question about your Ascendant. Transit Sun is squaring Pluto, and you have Pluto conj ATLANTIS, both retro. The greatest thing is that Mars conj Asteroid HERMES there is plenty of magical wisdom around the corner for you. You are lucky to be awakening at such a young age. ------------------ http://www.tamsoft.co.in/articles.html http://www.tamsoft.co.in/readings.html http://www.tamsoft.co.in/samplereading.html IP: Logged |

Using my Solar Writer, which calculates latitude and longitude, I put your information in and it gave your ascendant as 2 degrees Sagittarius. According to Linda's book "Relationship Signs" "The tables are most accurate for births in North America.IP: Logged |

Aussies are rapidly awakening, I am really surprised at the ratio of Spiritually Aware Aussies compared to the total population. Un-fair Dinkum in Wisdom?

Thanks so much for your help - all of you. It's so hard to find a good astrologer here in Brisbane, and I don't necessarily trust all these computer programs - as ... garbage in, garbage out... unless there's a person behind them who knows it's correct. It's great to hear my chart is good, IQ hunk - only thing is i've never been interested in sports and i'm terrible at them! Guess that aspect must be showing itself somewhere else? Let's hope I still find what I want to do with my life. I'm always surprised when people say they don't "believe" in astrology. It's a bit like saying you don't "believe" in vegetables. They're there - and they're real, it's just whether you choose to acknowledge them or not. IP: Logged |

Good point Katatonic, I agree on the crusading talent as well. I have seen this pattern repeat in many successful sports people. IP: Logged |

Thanks Iq and Katatonic - acting/politics/music i.e. is definitely more up my aisle (Whether I have skill or not, who knows :P). I'm thinking about going to Uni to study Nursing or Psychology. I left school at 15 and unfortunately have been working ever since - it's hard to go back to studying and not earning money once you've been doing it a while! Thanks again.Matt IP: Logged |
