Or, when would be the best time, astrologicaly, in the next few months to get married? I'm guessing by posting this you can tell that I don't want anything to jinx what we have.

Wait till Venus has retraced its path over the "retrograded" area.

When Venus is past 15' Aries, the coast should be clear.

writesomething,

If the question were,
"How long should I wait till after the storm has passed to go sailing on the deep sea?" --
Would you tell the person not to worry about the weather report, but to sail into the heart of the storm?

Past 15' Aries? Would somewhere around April 25th be considered safe? I apologize for my ignorance here. And thank you both for your replies.

The "storm" is in the eye of the beholder, my friend. I would hardly call venux rx the equivalent to a storm in the middle of the sea. Even if that was the case, maybe it is your fate to go thru the sea, and have that challenge, eventually the storm subsides. I honestly believe do it FEELS right, not when astrology might give you a good chart. Ive learned that trying to make a perfect chart, never works.

more like 25th May. on 25th April Venus will be around 2 of Aries

Also I think you should look into numerology make sure that the date of your wedding doesn't add up to 22.

but personally I would just try to go along with everything. It's alot easier if you accept that you can't control everything and that nothing is perfect

I hear what you are saying, Writesomething, and to a point, I totally agree. At the same time, I am feeling this Venus Rx and working through it (yuck). I've been through other Venus Rx while in relationships and the outcome was never good (although a valuable learning lesson). I love this man more than any other and want what we have to last (flaky? You bet! After 2 ex husbands, I'm a wee bit cautious)

Knock on wood, cross your fingers and all of the rest of that good stuff. :P

Thanks Evander! What am I factoring in to the equation? month, date, year? And why not 22?

you are adding up numerals from the date month and year.

example 25.5.2009= 2+5+5+2+9=7+5+11=12+11=23; 2+3=5

22 is one of the master numbers. There;s alot you can read about it. It's not a scientific fact but I myself would avoid it

I would look at dates that add up to 6, since 6 is ruled by Venus.

EVANDER: Why would you recommend to be cautious with the 22? I am honestly curious about your take on this "master number". (I am a "22" from my bithdate myself - so I wanna learn more about your findings!;-))

If you get married during a Venus in Retrograde period,
it can absolutely contribute to a stormy marriage.

Be smart.

As a person born during Venus Rx, I'm pretty sure its no joke.
I have been love-sick for my entire life. It sucks.

And if I didnt think the position of Venus made a difference in somebody's marriage,
I can't imagine why I would be posting on an Astrology site in the first place.

Idk, I always seem to be love sick, but I don't have a retrograding Venus.

And the Venus retrograde period started on my Venus return and will end on my natal Venus (29 Pisces) and nothing significant has happened.

I really apreciate everyones input. Trip-Pisces, thank you for the link, Heart Shaped Cross, I hear what your saying. Idealy, I would love to run to the alter with this man, the sooner the better! At the same time, I am so scared of jinxing what we have. It was nice to read about happy, long term couples that tied the knot durring a retrograde. Ughhh... It gets confusing!

My sister is getting married April 25th, in part because of the Venus Rx, and also because it's the first day after the New Moon, the time of new beginnings when the moon will be waxing. The Transit Sun and Moon will be conjunct in Taurus on that day - Venus rules Taurus (Mercury will be in Taurus as well but way too far away in orb to make an aspect) plus consider that Taurus is a fixed sign which might lend the marriage more lasting power and a stick-to-it attitude during rough times. I think it's a great day to get married. Also note that Transit Venus and Mars will be conjunct each other that day.

You know what I wouldn't worry about it, bc rather its Venus in retro or not if the marriage is not going to work its not going to work. But if you know in your heart of heart you know that you know that the person you are marrying is the one for you and vise versa nothing can tear it down..

Astrology is good and fun but I refuse to let it predict for me when and how I live my life..So if you wanna get married now and it feels right do it..

If you're getting back with an ex, I think it's okay to get married during Venus Rx.

Nope, not an ex. We've been together for almost a year, lived together for the past 8 months. I love him more than any other man I've ever known (despite the pull of the rx, which I've felt quite a bit lately).

Why is it ok to get back with an ex during venus rx? Wouldn't the romance end as soon as the retrograde does?
