this is a breakdown of my experiences.

aries: never knows what the eff is going on in the place. my friend and i had to live together for camp last summer, and while i love her to death i swear she never had any idea what was going on with everyone else in the cabin. at the same rate, they always have some idea for something to do and i've never found my self bored with an aries roommate. they are very often busy, though. pretty bad at answering their cell phone because they just don't have time to answer OR they forgot to charge it.

taurus: they love a routine friday night dinner party with friends. they'll sit on the couch FOR HOURS when a relationship doesn't work out and one time my taurus friend redecorated our the entire dorm room after a serious breakup with her girlfriend. grocery shopping is therapy. they love organic food.

gemini: i've never lived with a gemini, although my aries friend dormed with one gemini girl. super cute decorations everywhere. pictures of home on their wall. random orphaned notes from different classes were on her desk. she always had friends over and often my aries friend and i could never really study in her dorm since the gemini would be watching a movie her friends.

cancer: i lived with a cancer guy for a short period. his mom absolutely loved me (she's a leo) and she brought us food every single week. the fridge is always fully stocked with ice cream and we'd watch LOST together. feed your cancer man, and he will stay jolly. he's a bit of a nerd, so he had his little nerd memorabilia and a lot of action figures. he was VERY protective over those. a child a heart, they love it when they come home to a 3 course meal and some "mother's sympathy" around. they're really easy to live with if you can get past the random moments that they get down. oh we all know how biased i am towards cancer males...

leo: they are very proud of their things and decorate quite a bit. they like to show of their random trinkets and tell stories behind them. this may be the cancer influence that is often found in the leo friends that i make. one leo that i roomed with for 3 months was a total slob, but you could never move her stuff. god forbid you organize her chaos...

virgo: they're far more adaptable than you would think. one virgo that lived at the camp i was at was very, very messy but also the diplomat of everyone... or well... someone bossy and managerial. like a lot of leos i know, you do not mess with their chaos. i think with leo it's a pride thing... it's their stuff... but with virgo it's their "organization"... you don't mess with their system. i've also never lived with an organized virgo. they've actually been the messiest people i've met.

libra: drama. drama. drama. boyfriend. mom. dad. sisters. friends. there's always something that's not right and something that needs to get fixed... and you'll hear about it everyday at dinner when they call you up and want to meet up after work to talk about their feelings. most of the libras i know have an intense love for literature. to balance it out, i've also heard the most gossip from my libra ex-roommate. libra love soft light and don't like it when you play your music too loud... not unless it's their music...

scorpio: i lived with a scorpio male at the camp, too. he had drama with his girlfriend, too... but he took it in stride even though he secretly was miserable. do NOT drink their pop (or soda... whatever) without permission. they will eat your reese's peanut butter cups and not tell you... and they put the empty bag on your bed to make you mad... i know this from personal experience, lol... OH, and the power struggle I had with this scorpio girl we also lived with. dear god... she was a nightmare to live with... constantly doing these passive aggressive things in our cabin to get back at people and constantly crying to get people's attention. just very domineering. i will probably never live with an affected scorpio woman for their constant need to butt into my business so they can find a way to control me...

sagittarius: never lived with a sag, but i wish i can one day...

capricorn: i did live with my cap friend for a long time, but i really don't have much to say about her really... *shrugs* i lived with a cap guy with the cancer guy mentioned above and he and i got along fine enough. he was often locked up in his room working A LOT and didn't really socialize too often with our group of friends.

aquarius: i love aquarius. always decorating the place with random quirky things that amuse me and they love to bring friends over for dinner. on the other hand, they can always be out... they also have really, really long phone calls.

She was one of my best friends when she moved in though - still is - I still can't wait to move in with my boyfriend, though

Yes, Capricorns are definitely bigger neat freaks.

Two of my roomies from years ago were Cancer females, had them about 3 years apart.
They were neat and squeaky clean and domestic and sweet, but also both did have a fair amount of drama and love problems. I liked them though, had no problems with them.

I had a bad experience with a Libra roommate many years ago. She drove me nuts. Was a complete control freak about the environment:

"No, do NOT move zee VASE over THERE."

and:

"Your kitty cat tried to EAT my POOR Ditta (the other cat). Ditta haz zee TRAUMA."

and:

"Why you stay out so LATE, mmmmmm? You LIKE zee partiez, MMMM?? You like zee BOYS, yeeesssss????"

In the same household, we also had an Aries guy there. He was a pilot, young, about 24, and I don't know if there was a problem with his hearing or if he was just like tone deaf, but HE TALKED LIKE THIS ALL THE TIME.

"YEAH, I'M MAKING SOME STIRFRY...WOOHOOO!!! WANT SOME? IT'S GOOD! YEAH, I CUT UP SOME MUSHROOMS, HAHAHAHA, NOT THOSE KIND...HAHAH! HEY, DON'T YOU WANT SOME?"

And then he'd pass out in front of the TV every night with a bottle of Yukon Jack in his arms. Total slob too lol.

Aries: By far my most favorite roommate was an Aries. They're energetic, honest, sweet and are never boring! They're also great at cheering people up.

Cancer: very quiet, mellow and just very sweet overall. She was surprisingly not moody at all.

Leo: Very dramatic, but sweet and loyal. She expected everyone to worship her, but she was just so darn sweet, charismatic and intelligent that no one could help but admire her. She always lavished tons of attention on me and my other roommates.

Virgo: He was incredibly messy. Getting him to clean up after himself made me feel like his mother. On the positive side, he was really smart and funny. We always joked with each other.

Sagittarius: Never again. She was by far the most dishonest, manipulative and spoiled person I have ever met.

Capricorn: We just "get" each other. We finished each other's sentences and could sense each other's emotions and thoughts very easily.
