I've been on Linda Land for almost three years, and I openly shared my thoughts on the way it seemed to change when I was back from my 6 month hiatus. And though my posts may not be "astrologically advanced" or with a deep concern, I feel that when I'm here and reading posts from those in that advanced position, I'm learning. The "newbies" look up to you and are soaking up everything from from Linda Land, so before you get on your high horse and start bashing on them, remember that there should be a balance here of those of us without, and those of us who consider themselves a bona fide astrology experts. There is no reason why any of us should be singled-out and attacked, or targeted to feel like crap just because we haven't reached that level of "enlightenment". I'm just saying that we should be much kinder to each other and work together, and I'm aware that life isn't always peachy (before I get attacked of being naive). But this isn't life, it's a MESSAGE BOARD!Live and let live, with love.

By explaining basic astrology concepts and ideas, a teacher solidifies their own knowledge - plus a "newbie" can bring up questions or new angles that helps to teach the teacher and expand their expertise. A quality exchange of knowledge is always a two-way street, otherwise it's just another boring lecture! Also, someone who is truly enlightened will not be spending their time bashing people on a message board. Good wishes to you, FoxyAries, for your heartfelt post - and I hope the suggestion of kindness takes hold!IP: Logged |

Well said. Newbies keep the forum lively and yesterdays newbies ultimately become tomorrow's experts. I hardly knew the plus and minus of Astrology in 2006, phenomenal guidance here got me going. IP: Logged |

Love the post!I remember feeling so grateful to have found Lindaland years ago ... I was a newbie and hungry for knowledge. I used this forum as a foundation for my learning and also as a place to bounce ideas. There were definitely certain LL members who I very much admired and looked up to, following their threads with awe. IP: Logged |
