lechien Knowflake Posts: 138 From: i live in a kitchen Registered: May 2009	posted July 19, 2009 08:57 PM there are others who are much more knowledgeable than i, but basically, it's supposed to be pretty symbolic and self-explanatory (Part of Love cj. personal planet = romantic connection etc.)... and you have to keep the orb very tight, like 1-2 degree...? some may have potent meanings, but overall it looks a little archaic. Two of those aspects are at a 3 degree orb, the rest at 2 degrees or less. Do you think Arabic Parts are sort of on the level as asteroids? Potentially meaningful, but not as meaningful as connections between planets? IP: Logged
lechien Knowflake Posts: 138 From: i live in a kitchen Registered: May 2009	posted July 20, 2009 07:05 AM i think it can give the impression of the certain trend of the nature of the relationship? as you say, i wish astodienst would calculate it too! i'm much too lazy to look it up for each chart i look at (well, i'm not a professional astrologer so the number of the charts i look at are limited to my family and close friends, but still). i haven't quite had a "click" with it, although i like the idea. it may be like the asteroids, i guess, but i find asteroids very effective. Your Part of Marriages look good! Very binding. X3 My Part of Marriage around 12榛egrees in Cancer widely opposes these. My Sun/Moon mp is around 12榛egrees Aries. Our Composite Mars is around 16榛egrees Cancer, Venus is around 12榛egrees Cancer, and Jupiter is around 12榛egrees Capricorn. So our composite Venus/Jupiter squares my Sun/Moon mp and conjuncts/opposes my PoM, while Mars opposes his Sun/Moon mp and PoL/PoM2 and Jupiter widely conjunct these (Venus and Mars are conjunct). X3 On the negative side.. his Part of Divorce 1 around 5榛egrees Aries widely conjunct my Sun around 2榛egrees Aries. ;_; ... in self denial with the negative stuffs and be happy with the positive ones edited yay his PoDestiny (PM) in Aries 5�01' conjuncts my Sun in Aries 2�39'~ X3 IP: Logged

I'm not sure how stable my relationship is with this person, but I noticed his Love part (hehe) is conjunct my Venus and his Fate or Karma is conjunct my ASC. And the other noticeable coincidence is his Destiny is conjunct my Pluto. But I'm not sure how I feel about Arabic parts, they definitely are a pain to calculate, I wish there were better interpretations for so much work on our part. IP: Logged

I couldn't help myself! Every time I find out about a new angle to astrology or a new approach, the ongoing joke is that it's going to tell me I'm impossible and/or doomed, and sure enough! I know my life and I know I'm fine, but holy cow funny. If my mother had any interest in astrology, she'd definitely be on the phone to my Aunt gossiping about my Part of Marriage being conjunct my Part of Catastrophe, because that's basically what they're usually talking about anyway (just with the astrology removed). I'd be more willing to say, if I were going to give it all any weight, I could buy that it's like lechien said about overall trends (in synastry & natally) as opposed to some written-in-stone definition or premonition or what have you (like anything in astrology, really). Long-term love relationships ARE difficult for me, and do tend to end catastrophically, but I know I'm not going to die alone or anything like that. I'm not going to die alone, right? I had some good stuff thrown in there too (Part of Beauty & Part of Love conjunct my natal Sun & Valentine, for example), but they weren't nearly as hilarious as the idea of Virgo being out to get me.
