What is truly unusual is that this is a Julian Black Moon, (two New Moons in a calendar month) and it is also an Astrological Black Moon (two New Moons in the same Sign in a Lunar Cycle.) They call it a Super Moon, so I assume it is in it's perigee, but I haven't checked.
That means it is close to the Earth in it's elliptical cycle.
This Astrological Black Moon is the companion to the Blue Moon that occurred back in August, both are in Aquarius.
There was a Grand Sextile at that time of the year as well, when the Sun was Rising with Sirius.
This has been one weird, weird year.
Also, Venus is now Stationary, and it is Conjunct Pluto at thirteen Capricorn, going Direct tomorrow.
