Things like—his ability to heal me (yes!) from common physical ailments like headaches (I get them frequently, some are debilitating migraine-type), sore throat, cold, fever, etc. Believe it or not, all I do is call him and explain to him my symptoms over the phone (sometimes in the middle of his work day) and ask him to relieve me of the ailment. Usually whatever is bothering me goes away within a few minutes to a few hours w/out taking any medication! Painkillers for my headaches cannot take care of what he can with his thoughts! Blows my mind but there it is! Can this be explained by synastry? Any thoughts, anyone?

Also, having the same dreams on the same nights at pretty much the same time! (We’re not living together). Also, I "pick up" on his moods almost on an hourly basis even when I'm not with him. I can also tell when he's thinking about me, as this is “felt“ by me through different physical “vibrations” -hard to describe exactly. Also, frequently I have dreams in which he communicates things-his feelings or circumstances, which he is unable to verbalize otherwise.

If you’ve had experiences like these would you like to share and possibly try to understand the astrological basis? Thanks.

My dad seems to know whether I'm walking around outside or whatever else. He does have freakishly accurate hunches in general but only seems to accurately pinpoint my activity; he can't tell what anyone else is doing at any given moment.

Major aspects:

His Sun/Mercury/Jupiter exactly on my SN/Vertex
His Saturn conjunct my ASC (but I doubt this is it)

I'd say Vertex contacts count.

Thx, Capriquarius. I just checked. My Venus and MC trine his vertex, and my NN conjuncts his vertex, all w/in a 1 degree orb. Plus my vertex is in his 7th hse trine his Chiron (2 deg. orb).

Do you think this is contributing to the connection we have?

I think I read somewhere that only conjuncts to the Vertex count.

Do you have aspects between Psyche and Mercury?

My Psyche squares his Mercury 3 orb. His Psyche squares my Mercury (a wider orb of 6).

What would this mean? Thanks.

Those orbs are too wide for asteroids.

No idea what other ones, sowwy!

I agree, strong Neptune usually does that, especially in combination with Moon.

I would also check for these asteroids (2 degree orb; only conjunction may sometimes have up to 3 degree orb):
Pallas
Psyche
Aura

and for healing specifically:
Reiki (this one is always a big hit for me, but I have it ntally conjunct my Sun)
Hygieia

Oh and yes, I have something like that, to. NOt even a close friend of mine, but whenever we are in the same city, I literally can HEAR his voice in my head, like I am overhearing his real time conversations. lol
Only bits come through though, and they are sometimes a bit weird, due to their ordinariness.

- his Sun/Moon/MC are conjunct my Sun and Mercury within 3 degrees (I hold the Moon-Mercury-conjunction for somewhat "responsible").

- his Mercury conjuncts my Neptune EXACT

- his PSYCHE and PALLAS are both conjunct my PSYCHE with one degree at most.

- my REIKI conjuncts his Sun/Moon/MC with about one degree each

- my HYGIEIA trines his Sun by 2 degrees (Moon/MC would be trined by 3 degrees - I only m ention it because his Sun and Moon conjunctions links to my natal Reiki-Hygiea trine that I never even noticed before today and it is linked to my own Sun/Mercury-conjunction)

Hmm...

I am going to have to go and check out the synastry between me and a former friend of mine.

He and I used to 'trade' abilities when we were around each other. I'm primarily clairaudient and empathic. He is primarily clairvoyant and psychometric. It was the strangest thing... When we were around each other, I would become more clairvoyant and psychometric and he would become more clairaudient and empathic. He would have me practice psychometry with him and I was surprisingly accurate. We've both witnessed paranormal activity simultaneously. We've had shared dreams. Etc. Etc... Honestly I've had psychic type experiences with other people, but so far, the experiences I had with him have been in the strongest.

I never thought to check the synastry for that kind of thing...

Capriquarius said “I think I read somewhere that only conjuncts to the Vertex count.”

Just wanted to point out something about the Vertex. For the past few years the Vertex has been one of my favorite astrological points. For a long time I ignored it but once I ‘discovered’ it almost by accident one time it has total changed my perspective…. I never cease to be surprised at how powerful this little point really is. I know traditional astrology only uses conjunctions and oppositions to the Vertex, and perhaps these are the most powerful and influential aspects to have….

However, from my personal observations any aspect to the Vertex seems to have an effect. For example, a very important conversation, in which I made the life-changing decision to move to another country, occurred while the transiting Capricorn Moon was tightly trine my Taurus Vertex….the Vertex ties in with important turning points in life, as well synchronicity of events…. Like finding just the right person, or information, at just the right time to help you along on your path…. Often this feels like the hand of fate to the Vertex person….

I’ve even seen aspects like semi-squares, and sesquiquadrates work….. Like one time I was wondering around a book store while transiting Moon was semi-square my Vertex and happened to find exactly the book that I needed, and hadn’t been able to find earlier….. Semi-squares and sesquiquadrates have to do with small details but small details can sometimes make a big difference….

Linda Jones,

I can also see how the Vertex could tie in with a psychic or energetic connection between two people. The Vertex has to do with a feeling of connection, and resonation with another person that has great personal meaning and significance… a person influencing your Vertex can feel as if they are tuned into just the right frequency to touch you on a profoundly intimate level….there is just something about the things they do and say that sticks in your mind and influences your perspective…. These are the people you look back and remember for life…. Often the connection with a person influencing your Vertex feels as if it transcends the physical… like there is a flow of psychic/emotional energy involved in the connection…

I would never dismiss a trine to the Vertex as being insignificant. They are more subtle then the hard aspects, which hit you like POW!! But there is this feeling of gentle persuasion there influencing your life/mind-set with the soft aspects…

Here’s a short excerpt from an essay on Personal Sensitive Points (including the Vertex) by astrologer Michael Munkasey (found it on the internet).

In this article Munkasey discusses how the Vertex is actually the part of our minds that represents our ‘dreams coming true’ so to speak. Like Vertex people and transits in our lives are able to bring some of our fantasy inner ideals to life…. As if they lead us in the right direction to fulfill some type of idealization, or cherished desire… however the way we arrive at this destination may not always be the stuff of fairytales…. Sometimes the Vertex can rock your world in a way that is jarring, and unpleasant to start with….

~~~
The Personal Sensitive Points (PSPs) of Astrology
Michael Munkasey, (C) 1995
The Vertex represents pathways and opportunities, but then so does the
Moon's Node, so it is important to recognize their differences. The
Vertex is a part of the human mind, whereas the Moon's Node represents
events, people, or opportunities in the physical world. Did you ever
"wish" that life's circumstances could be different? Did you ever "wish"
that you could be taller or shorter, brighter or prettier, richer or live
in a larger house, drive a better car? We all have this mental "wish
mechanism" which is represented by the VTX. When we wish for these
changes the VTX part of our mind goes out and tries to set up
"opportunities" for these wishes to come true for us. The VTX part of our
mind connects to the minds of others and then tries to set up "encounters"
whereby others can enter our lives to effect changes. Wishing for a new
car? You are out driving, and someone runs a stop sign and totals your
car! You get your wish! You now have to get a new car! Be careful of
what you wish for because you may get it. You didn't specify HOW you
wanted the new car, just that you wanted one. This is a typical VTX
interaction. The VTX is very necessary because often people will not or
can not affect change by themselves in their life. Thus the VTX sets up
an "interference" mechanism that allows others to come in and use our
resources or time to effect our wish fulfillment.
~~~

Another way to look at it…. The Vertex shows the interface where people are able to bring you what you wanted/needed/wished for through some method or another…. (Even if it is just the ideals they represent for you). People who aspect your Vertex are able to accomplish this as they directly connect to your “mental wish mechanism”, and provide the necessary “interference” to bring you what you’ve wished for…. Some way or another…

Linda Jones,

This scenario where the guy in question is able to provide you with the healing, soothing influence you needed seems very Vertex like to me. Of course there are other factors in your synastry to consider…. Like may be Neptune ect, or even soft aspect to your Chiron (our wounded part)….. But I do believe that the Vertex synastry is significant also….

Good read, LW. Thanks for your time.

I feel as though my chart is linked to my dad's through the Vertex.

I can't say I enjoy this connection though. It doesn't help that it's opposite my NN either.

Interesting Capriquarius. Yeah, even though the Vertex can have an impact of immense personal significance there is no guarantee of happy endings ect.

Another interesting side point I’d like to make about the Vertex and important happenings…. I have Jupiter in the 7th house, and Jupiter is also my Asc ruler… and I’ve noticed that transits of my Jupiter to my Vertex seem to coincide with my most influential romantic connections, and least in terms of the impact they had on myself and my outlook…

My Vertex is located at 15 Taurus… in the 90’s when I was in high school I met my first truly intense crush when transiting Jupiter opposed my Vertex in Scorpio…. And I’d say this was my first brush with real adult feelings, as opposed to ‘puppy love’. Also my first heartache…

Years later transiting Jupiter in Leo squared my Vertex. I met my second most influential man, in terms of the imprint the made on me. We were very ill matched, and not right for each other… but somehow his personality stuck in my mind… and very clearly defined what I want and do not want in terms of love and marriage….

I guess that fits with the symbolism of the square also…

Later this year transiting Jupiter will by conjoining my Vertex in Taurus…. I’ve got my fingers crossed that this transit will bring a much happier romance into my life! After all a conjunction is a direct hit and much happier in general then a square….( Although I feel that an opposition can be either good or bad depending on many other factors) .

I know there are no guarantees but…. Yeah, my heart is full of hope for this transit!

Also interesting…. Guy I met during Jupiter in Scorpio transit also had Venus at 12 degrees of Scorpio…opposite my Vertex…..and Guy I met during Jupiter in Leo transit had Mercury at 12 degrees of Taurus… conjunct my Vertex… I mean, Woah!

Sorry for the thread derail. I should really start my own.

Maybe that explains my bad luck. I got an unfortunate asteroid conjunct my Vertex. So every time it receives a transit, something bad occurs. It probably hinders me from my 12th House NN too. And I got Mercury-Neptune squaring all that. Fun fun fun...

Thank you all for weighing in.

nordic soul-my Neptune trines his Moon (orb of 2). On the other hand, his 8th house Neptune trines my Chiron (orb of 2.2). Our composite Neptune is in 7th house along with Jupiter (expansion of Neptune influence in 7th house?)

Would this be the strong Neptune connections you mentioned? Thanks.

Ceridwen-I will check out the asteroids you mentioned. Thanks.

Lotis White:
Thank you for the information on the significance of the vertex. Earlier, I only had a vague idea of its effect.

So lets see... my Venus and MC his vertex (orb of 1); my NN conjuncts his vertex with an orb of 1. Then my vertex is in his 7th house and is trined by his Chiron (orb of 2); also his Mars and Venus sextile my vertex with orbs of 2 and 4 respectively. Do sextiles matter?

Finally, his Moon quincunxes my vertex (orb of 4).
What do you make of the picture so far?

Something else I noticed--his vertex is in the 7th house area of his chart; while my vertex is in the 6th house area of my chart. So the two vertex(es?) are kinda transposed in our charts. Any thoughts on the significance of this?

Agreed me and my ex had this weird thing too where if we were feeling bad we would call each other and all symptoms were gone. Both of us had strong moon neptune contacts and chiron conjunctions.

I consider all aspects to the vertex even quincunxes. So YES to the sextiles.

“my vertex is in his 7th house at 13 Libra and is trined by his Chiron at 15 Aquarius (orb of 2);”

“my 7th house Neptune at 7 Scorpio trines his 12th house Moon at 9 Pisces (orb of 2). On the other hand, his 8th house Neptune trines my Chiron in Pisces (orb of 2.2).”

These aspects alone make me almost make me wanna say ‘case closed’. The dynamic you described sound like a combination of Neptune/Chiron/Vertex strong in your interaction.

“Something else I noticed--his vertex at 23 Virgo (Virgo rules 6th house) is in the 7th house area of his chart; while my vertex at 13 Libra (Libra rules 7th house) is in the 6th house area of my chart. So the two vertex(es?) are kinda transposed in our charts. Any thoughts on the significance of this?”

This could have to do with your relationship also being of assistance, and granting your wishes in the health/daily routine area…

“my Venus at 24 Taurus and MC at 22 Capricorn trine his vertex at 23 Virgo (orb of 1); my NN at 22 Virgo conjuncts his vertex with an orb of 1. Then my vertex is in his 7th house at 13 Libra and is trined by his Chiron at 15 Aquarius (orb of 2); also his Mars at 15 Leo and Venus at 17 Leo sextile my vertex with orbs of 2 and 4 respectively.”

These are very nice interactions just in general for ‘getting’ each other. The Vertex seems to have a lot to due with tuning into each others own unique wavelength. And with your nodal axis conjunct his Vertex axis… your journey, and path way through life especially resonates with him…

Thanks Cappy1277. I checked out the site you posted. Pretty amazing stuff. I need to check the asteroids mentioned and Uranus too. I understand now how it could also be involved in telepathy aside from Neptune.

One Sunday evening when I wondered what he was doing in that exact moment I actually smelled cigarette smoke in my home (my windows were all closed and I don't allow smoking in my house). After a few mins. the smell went away. I made a note of the time and asked him about it that night. He had been watching his fav NFL team and smoked during half time (the time I had smelled the smoke).

Could you explain this a bit more please? How do you think my pathway thro' life affects him?
Thanks.
