It is almost on my Mercury and I felt like I couldn't think anymore and dropped all of my classes. Now it is a few degrees before Pluto and my life is pretty much hell. It will hit my Sun and then Venus/Uranus conjunction next. How long does that old bugger take to move a degree anyway?

"Saturn in is in Virgo and most the audience who reads here has Pluto in Leo, Virgo, or Libra. This means about 1/3 of the people reading here have had Saturn transit conjunct their natal Pluto"

Mine is happening in my 8th house, btw.

"Saturn compels, he forces the issue, he says, “You Must.” Pluto, “You Must Let Go. You Must Transform, Heal, Metamorphose. You must dig deep to your inner core of power and face your vulnerabilities.” It signals situations that bring up the kinds of feelings we all have, but we don’t like to face— weakness, jealousy, rage, revenge. Whatever has been repressed. These feelings have to emerge; you don’t have a choice about that. But you do get to choose how you are going to react to them, and that’s where your power lies."

Many of you must have Pluto in Virgo like me... aren't you experiencing some challenges right now too?

Maybe I just "think" about it more since my Merc is also right there in Virgo with Saturn hitting it too...?

Yes, I have Pluto in Virgo and I am going through a major transforming time. Especially on my IC/MC axis.

Hi Dolphin "transforming" makes it seem so clean. Everything in my life is burning to the ground to say the least. How are you dealing with it? How do we work with the higher potential of this energy?
In one of the replies to a thread on a link I posted here, someone said something about getting rid of things you don't need in your house, for example. I remember reading similar thing somewhere long ago. I know there is some information along those lines that might get me on the right track....

Is anyone dealing with these powerful energies in a more positive way? I think it might be more difficult with me due to it happening in the 8th house and being really powerful and deep and dark. I don't feel my connection to God/The Universe like I used to and it is scary out here all alone.

How do I get back to the Garden?

Saturn wants you to completely obliterate anything in your life that is mediocre, half-assed, "settling."

It's easiest to see during the first Saturn return, at an age where most people are living life as if they'll get seven or eight more changes to do what they REALLY love and want in the future. If you're working a job that's okay but not great, and in a relationship that's pretty disappointing, but not terrible--Saturn on your Saturn will suddenly make those things HORRIBLE, so you have a choice to kill yourself, to kill yourself slowly by living a miserable, mediocre life and trying to compromise your creativity, passion, mysticism, true humanity, and highest calling, with another chance to make the change when Saturn comes back around and you're 59....or you can do the very very hard work of saying "NO" to everything in your life that you feel less than epic passion about.

Pluto is about power, and the deepest truth, and exposing what is subconscious or hidden. If you are holding on to some not-quite-accurate idea in order to give yourself solace, Saturn on your Pluto will no longer allow that. Saturn wants you to say "NO" to that. It's a moment to face your fears absolutely head on, instead of to try to escape.

It could be a very deep, powerful, wonderful spiritual transformation--destroying fake ideas of spirituality and the universe and connecting you to an experience that is much more real and true.

I'm going through this too right now - Transit Saturn is exactly conjunct my natal 24 degree Virgo Pluto at present..

Also, Transit Uranus is exactly opposite my Natal Pluto.

Being Aqua Rising and having Uranus as my chart ruler, the current Tr Uranus/Natal Pluto opposition is pretty intense and I'm definitely feeling it. However, natally, I have both Uranus and Pluto in the 8th House so I'm used to the intensity of the two planets.

Right now I also have Transit Neptune exactly opposite my Natal Venus. In addition, Transit Chiron is opposite my Natal Venus, having just crossed it for the second time, since it's currently Rx - I'm not looking forward to that particular transit crossing back for a third time when Chiron goes direct.

Transit Jupiter and Transit Venus are both squaring my natal Saturn at present.

At present, Tr Jupiter, Tr Uranus, Tr Neptune, and Tr Chiron are all currently transiting my 1st House. Transit Pluto is currently transiting my 7th, along with Tr Venus (which is conjunct my Natal DSC and opposite my natal ASC at this time).

Out of all the current transits I'm experiencing at present, I'm not sure which is the most powerful - they all seem to be influencing me to a great degree.

Lucia, I think you are exactly right. I feel your words and thank you deeply for sharing. I needed to hear/learn what you had to say and I really appreciate it. Your info rings true to say the least.

Transiting Saturn will start conjuncting my 3rd house ruler Pluto in 0'51 Libra within 3 degrees on October 10th. The transit will be exact on November 6th. It will be separating within 1 degree on November 17th.

On October 11th, I am going to an all day workshop conducted by leading pastlife regression therapist, Brian L. Weiss, PhD who wrote Many Lives,Many Masters. I am looking forward to it. I am going to attend Healing Arts Festival here in Sacramento on October 18th. I am going to attend 2 Day psychic fair in Reno,Nevada with my shaman friend,Steve from October 24th and 25th. My Solar Return is on October 28th,birthday on October 29th. I am going to attend a psychic fair with Steve in Elk Grove,California on November 2nd. Steve is going to be working at the healing arts festivals, psychic fairs. I am going to be helping him set up. A lot of fun in Reno.

in 2010,
Transiting retrograde Saturn will start conjuncting my Pluto within 3 degrees on February 12th. The transit will be exact on March 27th. It will be separating within 1 degree on April 9, 2010.

Transiting direct Saturn will start conjuncting my Pluto within 3 degrees on June 5th. The transit will be exact on Aug 1st. It will be separating within 1 degree on August 11th.

I am going to have 2009 Solar Return Saturn in 29'52 Virgo conjunct my natal Pluto. That will be in effect for a 12 month period. Not only that...in the Solar Return, Saturn in 11th square Pluto in 1'13 Capricorn in 2nd.
There will be a strong Saturn-Pluto theme in the Solar Return. Ascendant in Scorpio in Solar Return, and so Saturn squares the chart ruler.

I think that it will be a personal growth transit.
I don't think that it will be that challenging. I don't have any hard aspects to my Pluto. The only ptolemaic aspect that I have to Pluto is a sextile to my 7th house ruler Neptune in 1'48 Sagittarius in 3rd. I have a trine to retrograde Saturn in 5'01 Gemini in 9th. I consider it wide for a dwarf planet like Pluto. It is also trine fellow transneptunian,Varuna in 3'01 Gemini R in 9th ,major asteroid Pallas in 2'36 Gemini R in 9th,and major asteroid Vesta in 3'01 Aquarius in 5th.

my mother's Ascendant/Descendant is in 0'11 Cancer/Capricorn axis, and so my Pluto squares her Ascendant. She and I are going to have a shared experience transit of Saturn. I am very concerned about her with transiting Saturn square her Ascendant/Descendant axis....especially with transiting Pluto oppose/conjunct Ascendant/Descendant axis. Transiting Pluto is in my 4th squaring my Pluto in 1st. She already has serious health problems because of Diabetes.

"Pluto

When Pluto is in the 8th House the soul is engaged in the transformation of emotional energies, in ‘penetrating the darkness of himself to take out the light’ (Samael Aun Weor). This process in the intensity, which it is given by Pluto in H8, may go on for many lifetimes and requires those with this placement to face the Human Shadow manifesting both through self and other. Pluto in the 8th House tends to create a fascination for taboo subjects and psychotic people. The Plutonian himself may be the victim of compulsions and obsessions (his own or those of others) and intrusions from the lower astral. Nightmares and visitations are common with this placement. The astral plane may be used purposefully as a source of power, in which case the interest will be in witchcraft and magic, which may include the Black Arts. In personal relationships a person with Pluto in the 8th House transforms the lives of his partners but in circumstances usually viewed as destructive by all concerned. Violence, whether physical, emotional or sexual, is common when Pluto is in H8, including within the relationship with one or both parents."

To get a feel of this transit, check out what happened 30 years ago.

Just a flavour, it's enough. It's not one I'm dwelling on too much.

In my case it is more a Saturn transiting Moon/Pluto, spending more time around the Moon's degree. The cookbooks won't give me the final answer, but then when do they? It never works out quite how you think. Prime example, Venus getting hit, where was the out-of-the-blue sordid affair with a 20 year-old male model? Never happened, I just got a tax bill.

Oh, so true.

I have it going on very soon.... I have Pluto square Saturn exactly in my natal and it's hell... lol. I also have Saturn right on my Merc now, though I also have the square in natal (also hell lol)
But Pluto is also the ruler of my 7th, and conjunct Saturn it's like about seriousness in relationships and re-evaluations I think.
I would think to an extent it depends on the house Pluto rules in your chart. That might be the house/area effected as well.

I was 7 thirty years ago and don't remember much... but my mom had a miscarriage that year I think, and we moved from my grandparent's farm to a house up the street.

MM, maybe it's also like a massive career shift? Do you feel like maybe you've outgrown something with work and are looking to explore something new?
I sometimes feel Pluto demands sacrifice of something old in order to give you something new.

I had Saturn transiting my 5th house Pluto in late 2007. I certainly was not looking forward to that one. I noticed its effects in two areas of my life. I learnt that I needed to be patient in my dealings with others and that’s not an easy task for an Aries rising!

In true 5th house fashion my daughter decided to take off on an adventure, at the drop of a hat she packed a bag and moved interstate to a city where she knew not one soul.

Not quite 19 and she takes off and ends up 1,000 miles away with no job, no accommodation and no-one to call. She was fine, found a job, a nice place to live, made lots of friends, I was a bit of a wreck at first but also admired her for having the guts to do something like that. Her return home some months later coincided with my third and final pass of Saturn conjunct Pluto.

I can not say it was a bad transit at all but will admit that I was expecting doom and gloom.

Mystic Melody,

For me I have had to rid myself of outdated mind sets from my family and childhood. Things from my past that I was holding on to that kept me from growing. I have pluto in the 4th house and saturn in the 10th so I have had to deal with security issues as well in my life.

that quote from the dkfoundation is the biggest crap I've ever read about Pluto in the 8th.

plz, plz, plz! stop reading and giving other to read such sadistic stuff. astrology is NOT about making other be afraid! when you feel like giving others such 'wisdom' plz consider your reasons for doing so.
are you helping anyone with that quote? if not, what is your motivation?
