I have had this with four different men. 3 were long term relationships and 1 was very fleeting. All four there was a lot of physical attraction and a real immediate "liking"! What got me thinking of this today is not so fun. The boyfriend I had all through high school died sat. I just found out today, he was only 30. When I went back and looked at his chart I realized his venus was conj my asc 1 deg. My x husabands venus was in my 1st, but barely conj the asc. The fleeting man's was conj my asc 3 deg. and the other boyfriend, it was my venus conj his asc. I'm not really convinced who feels planets in houses more and this has been up for a lot of debate. Does the planet person feel it more or the house person?? In my experience I think the house person is feeling that planet in their house more. In these relationships the attraction wasn't all equal. Sometimes I was more attracted and sometimes they were more attracted. What is your opinion on this aspect in synastry and who do you think is usually more attracted the house person or the venus person??

I think the Venus person is more attracted.

The pure being of the other person (their ASC) triggers all Venusian feelings in the planet person.

BTW I am very sorry about your friend.

(I must add, I think the ASC may be an exception here, because it is so tightly interlinked with our appearance; usually the house persons will feel more than the planet`s person according to the theme of the house).

Natal aspects are really important here, though!!

In one case, I felt put off/smothered when my Venus was tightly conjunct a guy's ASC.

And I have that response sometimes also to woman Cancer Risings, some of whom have ASC conjunct my Cancer DC, Moon, Saturn, or Venus (which is at 29 Cancer...if it's an out-of-sign conjunction to the Leo side, I feel more drawn to the person.)

I would agree with DD that the venus person reacts more strongly to the AC person because they represent everything they find beautiful. Although, I'm not sure whether a severely afflicted venus in a natal chart might change that slightly.

From my own experience men who have their venus on my AC react more strongly to me than vice versa. I've never reacted to men with venus in cancer. I like them as a friend, but there has never been attraction from my side as 'AC-person'.

However, when my capricorn venus sits on a man's capricorn AC I generally really like 'their look'.

Scrappy,

I'm very sorry about your friend.

I think it is a binding aspect both ways. The Venus person is very physically attracted, and the AC person feels incredibly loved and protected. Had this aspect w/ the love of my life.

I think that other factors in synastry would account for stablity or fleeting attraction.

I think this is such a beautiful aspect in synastry, just like venus conj sun, but I just can't figure it out. It seemed that I was more attracted/infatuated when the man's venus was near my asc. Jesh I donno!

my opinion is with this it's the venus person who is somewhat the more vain of the 2 being stuck on some aspect of the looks/charm of asc person, the conjunction, while the asc person's ego is inflated because they've drawn to them such an attractive person, so it feeds back onto the venus person, back and forth. regarding more attracted..i think it has to be taken into account with other factors, but so far it seems like its the venus person who is the one doing more of the active 'vocal' admiring, those compliments that just come unabashedly out of nowhere, but this depends more on the sign involved. with leo it'll be more immediate with capricorn youll have to wait a bit longer for that reaction. mars in the first, conj asc, is similar, though much more energy centered/hyper than venus which is more docile. but theyre both pretty self serving, self affirming placements as they stimulate the ascendant, and to a lesser extent H1.

I have never beeing with a man who have venus conj my asc. My on and of relationship had his venus conj my desc and opposite my sun. It was a DW My venus squared his sun..

I don't know why I not find venus conj asc in my synastry relationships

For me it always must be some synastri aspect to my venus/NN/mars stelleium. It looks like I'm not be attracted to someone without touch to that point..
