share your experiences or current interactions, of any kind you wish, of where you have contradicted, or atleast in most part, some aspects of astrology.good or bad, e.g. mars venus, yet no attraction, fatalistic synastry aspects such as moon or venus square saturn, has it always 'played' out as grim? have you had more 'core' aspects yet no feeling? what did you get out of it?, does astrology have an answer to why what looks like great, or not so great aspects, don't always live out what they're 'suppose' to? of course there is just the idea that its free will. free will and astrology to me, is an odd thing to mix together, atleast for me, but i feel the same way about Fate/destriny/free will. discuss! First of all, I noticed that transits usually do not affect me. I have a grand kite and if the transit has a poor aspect in one area, there is usually something better going on in another area. So I control my fate.I'm a Cancerian, not married, no kids. I kill plants. My venus and mercury along with my NN is in Cancer. My moon is in Pisces and emotionally I'm pretty strong. No drugs, alcoholism etc that you usually attribute to Pisces moon. I tend to have good control over my emotions. I also think I'm more intelligent than my chart would lead you to believe. I like knowledge, books, value education, etc. IP: Logged |

hmmm ok transits do seem to effect me.What doesnt work for me though is synastry aspects. My moon is conjunct NN on my MC so i am very much a gemini moon BUT ... I cant stand geminis. I dont get along with them unless they have lots of earth like taurus to slow them down a bit. Their energy can get me hypo and stimulate my mind wayy to much and it just doesnt work. Though i do love venus in gemini its my fav for taurus men and other signs that need that nice gemini somewhere. Libra is square all my cancer planets and i love libras. Libras love me too i guess. Libra falls into my first house. ------------------ •' •.♥♫♫´°°♫ • Life is Beautiful •.♥.•♫°°´♫♫ ♥ •

I dare presenting my thesis:All of this (in astrology) works and reflects accurately what is going on in our lives at any moment in time. The only problem is, that we still don`t know how to use this astrological tools accurately. It is like a language, and we see the words but have not really an idea how to put it all together.

I'm meant to have a pretty good composite chart with someone where we have aspects that are meant to symbolise love, pure and simple. Lots of other good stuff too. I love him... unfortunately don't really see it reciprocated!I feel pretty let down by astrology in this sort of instance haha. IP: Logged |

I'm with DD in this one. Putting the free will vs determinism aside, and whether astrology actually works or not, currently we just don't have enough astrological knowledge to predict everything accurately anyways. But well, a simple answer about why for example Pluto/Venus synastry aspects doesn't always lead to obsession or Saturn/Mars hard aspects doesn't always lead to bitter conflicts, coz each of us can react towards a certain aspect differently. Non-astrologically speaking, some people just react more towards intense obsessions, while some aren't really obsessive at all. And astrologically speaking, some people has their Pluto/Scorpio more prominent in their charts, making them more reactive to obsessiveness, while some people are just not into obsessive flings. Also, things are just not static, and we change through time too. We might be more receptive and prone to certain situations sometimes, while not really as much in other times (astrologically speaking, there are transits that influence our planetary energies). I think aspects by transit come as opportunities that you can choose to take or not. They can be relevant to you - or - not.For example, this month - due to the Sagittarian influence - several horoscopes tell me I will be traveling. I did actually get two opportunities so far to travel, both of which I turned down. In synastry, we all have easy/nice and challenging aspects. I guess it depends on whether both individuals are willing to focus on the positives and compromise on the challenging parts. Example: I had a Venus/Mars conjunction with X. It was sexually attractive so that was an "easy" area. But we ended up having so many problems in other areas that sexual attraction could never appease them. In a natal chart - you may have the potential to be extremely talented in certain areas and a "bull in a china shop" in other areas. However if you do not choose to get involved in areas you are talented, the aspects will not play out as much (or play out in a different manner). Alternatively, if you choose an area that you find challenging and seriously work at it - you can overthrow a negative aspect. IP: Logged |

Amowls,do you have a Gemini ASC? That would explain why you feel a resonance when their ASC/ DESC axis touches your 3rd house ruler. If you have a Gemini ASC, where is MErcury? IP: Logged |

Yeah, that makes sense. Whenever the chartruler is involved in synastric conjunction, it gets interesting, even though it also depends on the individuals involved. In your case, from the few informations I have, it seems that there is a strong Mercurial theme in your personality (ASC Gemini, ruler of 1st house in 9th- Jupiter house, the polar opposite of Mercury; Sun as ruler of 3rd house; the ruler of 3rd house in 9th house - another hint at that interconnection between MErcurfy-Jupiter, or rather 3rd - 9th house; Sun as 3rd house ruler conjunct Mercury). I now wonder where your Jupiter might be. IP: Logged |

Yes, Lara, I think so. You have the 7th house ruler in 3rd house (in Leo?) plus Gemini ASC. Sun, as ruler of 3rd house (which is for a Gemini ASC especially important) in airy 11th house. Your 5th house is in an Airy sign, too. How could you not be drawn to Air-signs? 7th house ruler in Leo would indiccate that pull to Leos. And the ruler of 3rd house is in Aries.
