I'm a bit confused when people say they have an aspect in a sign, ex. moon conjunct Pluto in Scorpio. Are they talking about where the conjunction is?------------------ ~Believe~ IP: Logged |

It basically means their Moon (in Scorpio) is conjunct Pluto (in Scorpio). For instance, I have a Mercury/Pluto conjunction in Libra. My Mercury is in Libra, as is Pluto (as people in my generation will have Pluto in Libra). Hope that makes sense.

So that's only said at the end like that when both planets are in the same sign?------------------ ~Believe~ IP: Logged |

thats right you would state X PLANET conjunct Y PLANET in Z SIGN the sign comes at the end and it's only when the planets are in orb, being in the same sign isn't enough. orb means only so many degrees apart, they have to be close enough for the conjunction to matter.IP: Logged |

it seems like a matter of opinion alot of times....I never get a straight answer when asking a question!! Everyone has a different opinion and input! That's the beauty of it!! IP: Logged |

Oh you can take the gold plated ORB OF INFLUENCE across the entire sign if you'd like! And some do.If you want to be a hardass then you count 3 degree orbs and dat is it! In general, if you want to get to the nitty gritty and QUICK you would get your orbs pretty tight, say 50% on astro.com's site. Although, there is some bug in there which prevents some aspects from even registering with the lines, even if theyre close in orb so you have to eye it as well. It is a matter of preference, though, completely. I like to start with 75% then narrow it down or widen it out to 100, depending. You'll get it as you go along. You'll start to see how much weight to give certain aspects too. IP: Logged |

If you have Moon conjunct Pluto with a 5 degree orb,you probably have them conjunct within 3 degrees in Right Ascension (ecliptic longitude) Raymond

WellRight Ascension is equatorial longitude which is what astronomers use the zodiac sign coordinate that astrologers use is ecliptic longitude a conjunction in ecliptic longitude tends to be a conjunction in equatorial longitude the orbs between them will have a significant difference
with transneptunian objects like Pluto which has a high inclination from the ecliptic...actually up to 17 degrees,
there can be a big difference between them I have Pluto trine Midheaven aspect within 3 degree orb in Right Ascension In the regular chart, the trine is over 9 degrees which most astrologers wouldn't count as a trine. Liz Greene does. That aspect was included in my Astrological Analysis Report. I use no more than 3 degree orb for natal Pluto aspects. I consider both ecliptic longitude and Right Ascension...not just ecliptic longitude.
