the author was english and it was a long time ago!! being useful was very important during the wars of course...and the tv shows (are you talking about the ones ringo starr narrates?) are supposed to contain socially uplifting values for kids...mostly pretty innocuous, and kids love the trains. my grandson has a huge collection of trains AND tracks, he has only recently started to outgrow them, though the show has gotten old now!IP: Logged |
