What have you repressed if anything?I want to write more - I've had this topic on my mind for a few days - but I have to go back downstairs. For example, I can see how I repressed the positive side of any assertiveness or aggressiveness, depending on the situation. I have Chiron conjunct my Sun, so any 'wounding' - or perceived wounding (where I felt damaged/broken/misunderstood), won in certain parts of my life. I can talk, a lot, and can be easily distracted. I used to be able to focus a lot better than I do now, or to pull an all-nighter to finish something, and I love to learn new things. As a teenager, I worked through a book about learning twenty-five new words a day, for fun. I also used to have more discipline. (Gemini Moon? and Saturn squaring my Jupiter is how I can see that...) I have Capricorn Rising, Saturn in my 7th house....and I am NOT attracted to partners who are older or more serious. I started dating when I was pretty young, had a very long relationship from ages 18-32, and am attracted to men who are younger than I am, and fun.I am an 8th house Leo Sun-Mercury, Virgo Mars, and pretty much every description I've read of 8th house Suns fits me to a tee. I'm fascinated by anything dark and mysterious, sex, death, transformation. I love to do deep research. I love intensity. And I'm also a very, very typical Leo Sun. I think I've kind of repressed my Cancer Moon? But it's conjunct my Saturn, so that might be how that's playing out. IP: Logged |

LOL @ MVM. I can relate to the 8th house sun thing that Lucia said.
I'm still working on seeing how Libra Moon fits me. I'm a little too selfish for its description. I can admit that. As long as I don't have to go to meetings or anything. And Libra Mars, not so much. In RL I blow like Vesuvius and then I'm over it. That would be the Aries Asc, and Sag sun. Still thinking.... IP: Logged |

I definitely feel my Virgo Asc....I love routine, not being surprised and planning things out even though my sun is in Gemini and is supposed to be ever-changing. I also feel my moon in Scorpio...my smothering nature of a mom lol, protectiveness of loved ones, etc. IP: Logged |

I don't think we can repress things in our chart, per se, more like we don't acknowledge them but it's glaringly obvious to everyone else.I am an open book, so, I don't think I've repressed anything... maybe my 6th house Mars? But it could be a 7th house Mars depending on how you view astrology (and 7th house Mars makes more sense to me). IP: Logged |

I think some of my generalizations of aspects don't fit, because I have a see-saw chart and a lot of planets in complete opposition - Aries vs. LibraIP: Logged |

Yeah, I agree, Amowls. When I say I "repress" my Cancer Moon, I think I just mean it makes me unhappy. I really like my 8th house Leo parts and I relate to them. And I have this yucky conflict over Cancer things. IP: Logged |

Yep I agree about it being glaringly obvious to others. Like I have Cap MC. Someone here said I was a workaholic, and I said, "nooooo, I am a sag, I am a flake, stop saying that, nooooo!" But she pointed out that everything I was saying and doing was very work oriented. She was right, I just don't perceive it that way. IP: Logged |

IMO the problem is that a lot of people want shortcuts to what astrology means and don't bother with the deeper meanings. It's very black/white. Most of the stuff you read online and even from the past is outdated, maudlin, generic, and makes everything seem like a parody...sun signs are meant to be stable! While water is deep or whatever, and fire is free and expressive! Air is intellectual. You know, blah blah blah! It's like here's the element, and let's just coat all of humanity with this cheap, synthetic blanket. My least stable relationships have been with a Cancer and a Capricorn. My most happily stable up to date has been with an Aqua lol. I can't feel my Virgo sun all the time but I can feel the worrying aspects of it. And I can feel my 5th house sun. And my tsquare. A lot of things, really. But then I wonder if it's because my mind is paying attention to it, and I've chosen to look for similarities, and naturally the mind will follow and look for those similarities in order to create relationship and relating. Mostly I think astrology is kind of BS because of what I read, and I find myself having to rewrite it in order to have it make sense (my own Jupiter Aqua), because I am a mass of contradictions as most human beings are and yet often do not like to face since let's face it, that doesn't make life any easier. I DEFINITELY feel my Moon/Aries, in the 12th, conj Chiron, esp when I am yelling at someone. I yell, cry, have a fit, feel completely DESTROYED, then after a little while once I get some distance from it, feel completely better, reborn, and like I have been lifted from the underworld. lol. It's all about the catharsis with that placement. IP: Logged |

Yeah, I agree with alot of that. It's like when you buy a car, you suddenly see that car everywhere,... can't remember the technical term for that.I have that particular knarly t-square with Venus and Uranus, and I remember Glaucus comparing it to Angelina Jolie's and saying he wouldn't touch someone with that placement with a ten foot pole, or something like that.. (he wasn't being mean or anything) Funny thing is that I was completely and TOTALLY monogamous for 15 solid years, to the point where I felt horribly guilty for kissing someone else on New Years, just a simple lip to lip kiss. So, I guess I'm in the same contradiction boat. Ahoy! IP: Logged |

What I meant by that is that I'm supposed to be a fighter - IQ said something about it being illegal for an Aries to have low self-esteem. I've dealt with that for years. In ways. I didn't fight, I did the stiff upper lip thing, or found a way to be cheerful in situations that weren't at all good. Nobody knew what I was going through, because I didn't cause a big stink. Thanks for the responses, and LOL at MVM's "Virgo. Need I say more?" I remember your post about the same thing you've mentioned in this thread, from June, I think it was.. I was backing away from the board for a while, because I was feeling weird about the very thing you'd written about, so I was surprised to see your post that night. I'll have to look for it tomorrow.

Man Teasel, I did not know you had Chiron conjunct the Sun. I am understanding you more, now. You have the most personally painful planet(Chiron) next to your basic sense of self (Sun). How close is the orb? ------------------ Pluto conjunct Dejanira, Girlfriend. IP: Logged |

It's a tight orb - one of the tightest - but it didn't affect me until certain things happened... and it doesn't always affect me. I can see how it works in a positive way, too. IP: Logged |

Lucia You have Saturn conjunct a Cancer moon?? That seems VERY hard, too. I have a Cancer moon. Perhaps,it is unaspected(it has an 8 degree orb conjunction with Mars and a semi sextile to Venus, only) The Cancer moon is a fragile animal. I cannot imagine it next to Saturn. I really can't. The Cancer moon makes life feel like sandpaper, I think. Things hurt deeply. Your heart hurts badly when you care. I have strong Air to balance that moon. I thank God for that Air . What are the Saving graces in your chart, Lucia? ------------------ Pluto conjunct Dejanira, Girlfriend. IP: Logged |

As far as hard things in my chart, I will think about it and come back. It is funny. When I see other people's charts, mine is not that hard. I have no squares(only a generational one) and no oppositions. All of my planets except for Saturn are in the Southern hemisphere( the extroverted part of the chart. I think it is Southern) I wonder WHY my life was so hard?? My only answer is that when you put my mother's synasry NEXT to my chart---it bites, badly Isn't that strange?? You know, HER Sun is an exact conjunction to my Chiron. She feels like a wound which never heals just as Chiron is described. My life has been a singular trying to heal that one wound. Other than my mother, my life was not hard.Well, I married my mother so you could count that as my mother However ,it makes me think that sometimes a chart by itself does not tell the whole story. You need a family synastry. Anyway, I would be interested in other people's opinions on that. ------------------ Pluto conjunct Dejanira, Girlfriend. IP: Logged |

Gypsee, my mother has a Venus/Uranus squ and has been faithful to my dad (happily) for 27 years or something lol SO has a Venus/Uranus tsquare also....he's never cheated, has always been a paragon of stability for me soooooo . I think there are other meanings for this stuff. Well, I hope so lol One thing I read was a person with the square in that aspect associates with the Venus or the Uranus but usually almost never both since the two are hard to reconcile and a lot of Venus/Uranus people have been described as ridiculously loyal. Similarly, people with Moon/Uranus are described as fickle and not loyal and as a person with that aspect, I am put off, because I am not that way at all. The aspect comes out in other ways, but not disloyalty, ever.IP: Logged |

I have several aspects in my chart that are apparently to be blamed for being promiscuous, and/or cheating. Those definitions don't fit me at all.(Venus in Gemini, inconjunct Uranus is the one coming to mind.) IP: Logged |

Oh, that makes sense MVM. I AM ridiculously loyal, to family, friends and loves. Even past the point of logic. But, when I'm done, I'm DONE, there is no going back, no reclaiming that lost innocence. Maybe that is where Uranus comes in, with that detachment. IDK. My tsquare hits Saturn too, so I feel obligated in many, many relationships. So many that I've wanted desperately to leave, including family and friends, but yet, felt that it was 'the right thing to do to stay'. It's difficult.IP: Logged |

Love this thread Teasel! Here are some that pop to mind: Aries Sun = Brave. Very accurate generalisation. I am very brave. Aries Sun = Quick/Fast in everything. Inaccurate. I like to take my time doing things. Sometimes I'm a slow poach. Pisces Mercury = Liar. I tell white lies often throughout the day (like - "I can't see you tonight because I have a headache or i have to finish working on something or etc etc") and could not care less. I have zero moral drawbacks. Venus trine Mars = An equal love of men and women. This is true of me. I've never preferred male friends to female friends and vice versa. Venus trine Mars = a love of sex.. and being comfortable with your sexuality. Also very true generalisation. I love my body as it is, imperfections and all. I'm very happy in my own skin and I enjoy sexuality in all its forms. Mars conjunct Neptune = No defined goals. Inaccurate. I have very clear goals and often achieve those goals. Mercury square Uranus = Insanity. Accurate. I am insane. Ok - that's about it for today lol IP: Logged |

Well, I was gonna reply more, but now I see how the supposed tendencies are contradicted elsewhere in my chart, so I'll let it rest. The only thing I can say for sure is that sometimes I express the lower octave of my chart and sometimes the higher octave. And for any chart, that covers a heck of a lot of ground. IP: Logged |
