I have been having a rough time since January 2010. I have almost been jobless since then (with an exception of 2 months in between where I had job that I had to quit due to some unforeseen circumstances at work).

I have two questions, I was hoping if anyone can answer

1) When will I be getting another job again?
2) I am currently based in Sydney, Australia and I have been thinking about briefly moving to either Dubai or to LA to pursue my career. Am I better off staying in Sydney, or would a move to any of these locations be more beneficial?

I am hoping if anyone can help me with my query.

hi linda, i can't read the chart very clearly, what degree is your pluto at? I'm almost certain the timing you need will be shown by your pluto/north node in libra, saturn transiting these two will not make things easy for you and you will feel restricted.

interestingly you have the moon transiting in cancer in this chart so I'd say it's unlikely you will leave your country of origin or that your ties to your country are very strong...if you were not born in austrailia have you been thinking about going home?

Hey dysfunctionalmystic,

Thanks for your response. My natal pluto is at 12 degrees 44 libra. I was born in India, but I have been in Sydney for the last 10 years. All my work experience is from Australia. I never worked in India, nor I have any immediate plans to go to India at the moment.

Interesting chart. The first I saw. You have so few push aspect. Where are the square and the oppostions? Saturn in trine and you will feel the harmony well without effort. Your chart are very interesting. With your pluto/NN conj your DC. Sun and saturn in your house 5 and so much in your house 6 inclusive N.N and pluto. MC ruler saturn are strong in your chart. I see a picture in front of me there you are togheter with a much older man, and many children. Because you have so few of the push aspect this picture brings to me .

Now I just play with my fantasy and so back in the reality.

Transit pluto go forward from mars and jupiter which been in opp on long long time. Pluto stop everything and goes deeply.(You have your mars and jupiter on my venus/NN/mars.)

Transit pluto trine to N merk= guarantii it will be some change(not yet about two year). Just now Transit saturn on your Pluto/NN. Why will nothing happend now? Your MC ruler Saturn will show you the way. Use saturn when it's activ. Saturn on your pluto/NN want to tell you something. Saturn are terrible sometimes but help.. I love saturn.. in the end is it the only one who cope change, big change, bring patience and cope to challange.

What do you want?
Saturn on your pluto/NN. You know what you want to do.
Take out your saturn and start to make plans.
Use your fantasy and feel what you like. Dont be afraid to try everything...

Do you alreade know what you want. Not give up. Try to get job again and again and again.

Saturn is going to give you some restrictions/red tape/blockages to clear before you can get to where you want to be, it completely clears your pluto in august 2011 and your north node by septmber of the same year
dates you could feel it most strongly are
nov/dec/ 2010
Jan/Feb/ March/April 2011 and again for the final push July/August/Sep 2011

Saturn is also squaring your mc which suggests more challenges

saturn will not deny movement and progress but it will take much more effort than you would normally have to put in.

Hey popcorn,

Thanks for your response.

Would you believe this, until January 2010 I was actually seeing this guy who is actually 17 years older than me. Of course this did not go anywhere as I was just a casual fling for him although I was more serious about him. Not that I am worried him anymore. He is just history to me. But I just thought it was interesting when you pointed this out (about being with an older man).

-------------------------

I know what I want. It is not that I am a beginner in my career. As a matter of fact until Jan 2010 I have been extremely successful with my career; so much so that I still have some buffer to keep me afloat for at least another year or so. But my problem is, I am a workaholic. I like my profession (I am an IT consultant). Because I am a contractor I have more chances of staying jobless in between contracts. The reason for my concern is, this has been my longest wait.

Although I must admit that something very peculiar has happened to me this year. As soon as Jan 2010 started, I somewhat lost interest in my career and took a deep dive into esoteric matters. I spent most of 2010 exploring strange things like researching on Extraterrestrial, having been drawn to the 2012 phenomenon, getting mentally lost in my thoughts, spending unusually longer hours near the riverside near my house, doing lot of meditation etc. I have almost been obsessed with these things for no apparent reason.

But now, all of a sudden, after nearly 11 months I started becoming anxious about remaining jobless for so long.

I have no idea where this is going.

Hi dysfunctionalmystic,

WoW! Looks like Saturn is truely being the task master in my life at the moment. Looks like I have to keep pushing myself despite facing hurdles. Saturn has been affecting Virgos for quite sometime now. Will this even end?

hey linda,
saturn did it's two and a half year stint on your virgo only to land in libra to start work on your pluto and north node, things will ease up next year...its not all going to be doom and gloom til then, since saturn first went into libra it will have been tough for you because it also squared your jupiter and mars first which will have dampened your natural enthusiasm.
natally saturn trines the moon and neptune and with saturn in the 5th it means you have to give some proper structure to do the things you love doing, creativity can play a part here or maybe just play more but make time to take time out...your chart will let you do that.
another positive is that if you do anything as a hobby you may be able to turn it into something worthwhile during this time

So am I right in saying that biggest culprits are

1) Tr Saturn Opp Nat Asc (currently at 3 degrees orb)
2) Tr Saturn con Nat Pluto (orb of 1 degree)

it seems like IT is your 6th house "job" and not so much your career path or passion.

With Midheaven in Capricorn and Saturn in Leo in the 5th house, it looks like you would want to create something tangible that makes you stand out and be some type of authority.

2nd house ruler, Venus in Leo in the 5th house, loves the security of a secure occupation that guarantees lots of money to have a nice home and nice things. However, your midheaven, Where you are going and how you want to be seen, is much more creative and managerial in nature.

6th house ruler, Mercury in Virgo in the 6th house, loves a job that would require technical skill and attention to detail. However, unless there is a connection between the 6th house and 10th house or their rulers, 6th house jobs would be unfulfilling. The 6th house just wants to incorporate the qualities of its sign and ruler into its daily routine, so it doesn't necessarily mean a job. But more often than not, it is.

It would be great to think about types of careers that incorporate your 6th house needs into an enjoyable career path and not just a job.

Hi electricmind,

Thanks for your response. Somehow I always enjoyed being an IT consultant especially because my specialties are in the areas that require a lot of analysis and slicing and dicing of information (Data Warehousing / Business Intelligence / Data Mining). Sometimes I even lose track of my time when I am involved in such projects. I cannot think of anything more creative other than what I can do in these areas. (Except that I love dressmaking, but I am not confident that I would be successful with that venture). This is why I am finding it hard to look for alternatives. I was actually hoping that if I changed countries, I might be lucky.

@linda
you're welcome.

I have a friend who is a phenomenal dressmaker. yet she is afraid to commit to it fully because she doesn't want to give up her secure well paying job and she is unsure if she could really do it.

everyone around her sees how amazing she is and innovative in her design. she also has saturn in the 5th house.

saturn is where we feel insecure and are rather compulsive and reactive rather than responsive...that is until we are aware of it.

if you are planning to move because of work/career, i would suggest you ask yourself: what am i moving from? what do i believe will find in the new place? can i create that here?

1st ruler (Self) is MARS (as Aries is on the cusp) while 6th ruler (Work) is MERCURY (As Virgo is on the cusp)

Mars takes 2 years to travel the zodiac, while Mercury takes a year.

In your natal, MARS is in early Cancer, while MERCURY is in mid Virgo. Transit MARS is just about to enter Capricorn, while transit MERCURY is in Capricorn.

The best time to get a job is when t.Mars is conjunct n.Mercury, AND t.Mercury is conjunct n.Mars AT THE SAME TIME. This does not happen for a while, so you have to go with what you have right now.

The nearest best aspect between these 4 planets (both natal and transit Mars and Mercury) should be aligned in early FEBRUARY.

I have no idea when you will get a job next, could be any time, but an opportunity should arise in early February 2011.

I guess I just have to learn to enjoy my downtime by focusing on my hobbies and other interests. Better than worrying about not having a "job" I guess.

Best time to make a move, if you do, is in April (maybe May too)
No idea if it would work out, just giving you the best times.

I've been unemployed 4 years now. I guess that has given me more time to give out these wonderful free tips to all the important people of the world. I even got turned down by McDonalds, despite working there previously for 3 years.

A few months ain't too bad!
