I wonder, what aspects lead to lovers finding each other through these ways (unspoken, hidden, spiritual/mystical (astrology, numerology. etc.)?

Actually - no.. I never thought of it before. This is the first time it has crossed my mind - reading your post.

I'm not sure if I'd like a guy who knew as much about astrology as I do. I can be detached from the things I learn/read about and I always leave scope for differences. I am not dogmatic about astrology.

But there are many people out there who are very much set on certain ideas/thoughts/beliefs.
The last thing I want is someone telling me I am like *this* or like *that*, based on something in my chart. I find this limiting and I also think it is rude behaviour.

A lot of people who are strongly into astrology seem to go down the path of telling others who they are- instead of finding out who they are, as they get to know the person.

I believe each and every person has a soul and this is unique to them regardless of outer physical factors (and I would include astrology in -outer physical factors).
Because I believe in God, I also believe we are each capable of anything - There is a wide world of possibilities out there, and I don't like setting mental blocks and limits for people.
I would definitely get along better with an astrologer who had similar views.
On the other hand, I would probably stir clear of the dogmatic types, so there wouldn't be much of an attraction there.

Well said Betty Boop.

After learning about astrology I made the mistake of expecting people to take the form that was suggested by their charts, and my relationship to have the defining characteristics that were suggested by our synastry and composite charts. I ended up being sorely disappointed. In life you have to look around and see what is around you, and what it looks like, and how it behaves. THAT is reality. Astrology is fun, it's a useful tool, and yes, it can be very accurate. But expecting people or situations to fit a view that you have formed on the basis of astrological charts, and basing your approach to those people or situations on that, rather than reality, is only going to lead to confusion and disappointment.
