Hi,Would you look to a natal Venus or natal Mars for someone's sexual nature? This website says "if you have Venus or Mars in <sign>...." - but as I know very few people with Venus and Mars in one sign, there are two descriptions which can be quite conflicting. http://cafeastrology.com/articles/sexualastrology.html#cancer Using that website, which of these is more appropriate to you: 1. My Venus sign is more accurate 2. My Mars sign is more accurate 3. I am a combination of both my Venus and Mars... 4. Its nowt to do with you RMChex, mind your own business. Hee hee. Just interested really. Thanks Rachel ------------------ Where possible, give people a piece of your heart, not a piece of your mind. IP: Logged |

LOLActually RMC - when it comes to these particular interpretations on cafeastrology - neither suits me! Personally - I get the best ideas by matching keywords.. (keywords for the planet and the sign or the aspects etc) This is a website where all the interpretations are key-word based: http://astrofix.net/2010/09/09/venus-mars-aspects I've been into astrology for years now and I've read soooooooooo many things online. Frankly - it gets repetitive and it's often very simplistic and narrow. I like the keyword site because at least it's different - and many of the word combinations are things that you wouldn't find associated with that particular aspect - elsewhere (but they make so much sense!) "Venus in Fire, Mars in Air (Romantic Fire, Airy Desires): Spontaneous, open to new experiences and experimentation, and sociable, you are an independent and interesting lover. Although you tend to get straight to the point on a romantic level, you also value a lover who you can talk to about pretty much everything under the sun. In love, you are warm yet objective. You are fun, exciting, and inspired. You need to watch for restlessness and the tendency to jump into unrealistic scenarios too quickly. At times, you intellectualize sex, sort of holding love at bay. Other times, you have bursts of daring and spontaneity in this area. Your enthusiasm for romance is unmistakable and certainly very charming. However, it can also make a bit of a mess out of your love life, especially in your earlier years! You are especially capable of reinventing yourself and your desires so that you recover rather quickly from relationships that end and so that you can pour yourself into a new one. You can be quite flirtatious and attractive. There is something about you that promises fun.Venus and Mars in opposite signs: You tend to see-saw between wanting closeness and freedom in your close relationships. You struggle to balance your own needs and the needs of your partners. As a result, you tend to have love-hate relationships with your lovers! You do better in your relationships when you feel better about yourself; then, you can assert yourself in more harmonious ways. You don't always know what you want in love relationships, although you're drawn to relationships like moth to flame. You are vibrant and charismatic, sexual, and exciting..." Generally accurate.. especially last lines of both paragraphs.

I am finding the same thing - I can't find a book or website that seems accurate on all the various planet interpretations. I guess you have to get your own feel for it, and that is going to take time. (I'm always too impatient lol)

Some people look at astrology from a planet point of view, like you are doing now. While others look at astrology from a house point of view, like I do. I would highly recommend looking at astrology from a house point of view, no matter which professional tells you otherwise.House 8 is the place for sex. Look there. I think you have Virgo on the 8th, just like me. Look at the 8th ruler, Mercury, and see what sign it is in and what aspects it makes. IP: Logged |

Thanks Coffee. You are right about my 8th, it is Virgo. Mercury is in Scorpio, in H10. What aspects do I need to look for? Do you mean aspects Mercury makes to other planets? ------------------ Where possible, give people a piece of your heart, not a piece of your mind. IP: Logged |
