What does it mean to have your Sun/Moon Midpoint nearly OR exactly conjunct an angle? I have seen info on S/M Midpoint aspects to planets but rarely, the MC or ASC, IC or Descendant.

In my case, my Sun and Moon are exactly 10 degrees away from my 29 degree MC in Virgo; when I do the midpoint calculator my S/M midpoint is EXACTLY on my MC. I don't know if I should be excited or not!

Does this mean my career is even more of a vital part of my life? Any input is appreciated. I'd also love to hear from people with similar situations and how it plays out for you!

I'd be excited, how can you go wrong with that?

Plus you already seem well on your way. With knowledge, communication skills, and empathy like yours, you're bound to succeed.

My sun/moon midpoint is in the 7th house, and most of what I do is related to being married and having children.

Thank you so much Faith! I'm glad you think that about me. Sometimes I don't feel very assured but reading such positive comments reminds me, I deserve to give myself more credit in life for who I am and what I do.

I read that this point is actually what makes people feel complete... a blend of the feminine and masculine. So it seems, you're right, this is a GREAT thing after all; sort of as if, my Sun and Moon will be vital parts of my career, maybe. And I feel now that after considering it, this is what makes me VERY into my career... and makes me feel like I am more married to my career than I ever could be to another person!! Since I also read this can be used as an indicator for what kind of partners we seek out.

It's funny, just the other day I said that I feel my career is number one in my life and that my obsessive, constructive focus on it would make my potential partner very annoyed and lonely...Now I seem to know why. :') I blame Midpoints!!

I have my Sun/Moon midpoint exactly conjunct my IC at 27 Cancer. Like you, I’m not sure if it’s something to be excited about. My home life is very important to me, I just love being at home, even when I am on vacation I’m really not too far away and get homesick quite quickly. Strangely though, I have no attachments whatsoever to the family I was born into and have had very little contact with them over the past 35 years when I took off on my own.

I’m quite fascinated by synastry aspects to this midpoint whether this be romantic attachments or friends/acquaintances. I spent 8 years with someone whose Sun was on the far midpoint (27 Cap) and I just couldn’t ‘not’ adore him. I’ve recently discovered that two acquaintances through my job have their Jupiter at 27 Cancer and the best way to describe it is I experience the feeling of joy just being in their presence.

I see what you mean - feeling ambivalent about it.

I feel for me, it was fated for this to happen. I was meant to rise above my home life, directly opposite the MC, and make something of myself like no one else in my family really ever did. I feel it's a bittersweet life for me, with this. My MP here gives me a great potential to be successful and devoted to my career my entire life; it's the driving force of my existence, according to what I've read, and I can attest to that. Yet it can be an obsession, a never ending cycle of worry and self-hatred due to not being fast enough or good enough, and so on and so forth. One major issue is also, that as I've said, this makes me far too into my job versus other areas of life. Ever since the age of 14 I knew I was only meant to work - but in a very special, out of the ordinary way. A blessing and a curse.

For this I like the quote "what nourishes me destroys me", something along those lines.... I've been looking at Angelina Jolie's tattoos lately, haha. But besides that, to me it seems quite fitting. You even said, you are nourished by home life + home environment to escape to yet it can cause crippling worry, home sickness, and you have no attachment to your birth family.

I don't think I've ever met anyone with their planets on my Sun Moon MP. I wish I could though... I'm sure one day when it is meant to happen it will. Most likely in my job, among other artists or writers, or even humanitarians. I feel impatient about it yet I look forward to meeting similar people, people like me... I can see how having someone's planet fall on this highly personal MP, a good planet like Jupiter as you said, would make you feel so closet to them.
