Lately on LL I've read posts saying that Capricorn Moon people are emotionally guarded and don't want to show others how they feel. Today I've been reading the same kinds of posts about Aries Sun.

I have both of these placements and I can shout my feelings to the world from roof tops lol I have no drawbacks and I don't feel vulnerable by displaying feelings. Actually - I would feel vulnerable if I was an emotionally shut-down person who is so afraid of what others think of them that they can't cry unless they hide from the outside world. I find it a little strange. It's like trying to hide that you can 'pee'.. or something. Of course you cry - everyone cries! What's the big deal?

Is it because my background is European - Italian/Hungarian (cultural differences?) or is it a simple case of "stereotypes don't mean much when taken out of the context of a natal chart"?

My Moon sextile Mercury - interpretations and Pisces Mercury interpretations suit me a whole lot more when it comes to the way I display emotion.

Is it just me? Do you guys feel like your Sun/Moon signs are applicable to the way you express emotion to others... or is it more so your Mercury sign? Or maybe it's the Sun/Moon aspects..

I'm not sure what to think anymore..

It's to do with the whole chart and when taken out of the context of the whole chart things are almost meaningless generalizations.
For instance, I am a Sag, right? I'm supposed to be an extrovert and verbalizing feelings at the drop of a hat. Well, if you look closely, I'm a 0 degrees Sag and therefore on the Scorpio cusp. Very private, hard to verbalize feelings, rather an introvert when it comes to emotions. But if you look at my rising (Aqua), I'm a very sociable person, make friends easily, and will do a lot for a cause I believe in to the point of stupidity sometimes (NN in Pisces - will give myself to a cause I feel partial about).
So. My point is no one is uni-dimensional.
Reading the whole chart means everything counts: the elements, the placements, the planets, the aspects, the transits, everything!

I have Cappy Moon,Aries Mars.
I am perfectly open when showing 'fire' traits optimism,enthusiasm,drive,determination... But,it is not in the same department as other emotions I think that major Cappy trait is that I don't have the need to show emos in order to connect to sb. Feeling connection is enough by itself. And I get mostly annoyed when I am asked to prove some sentiment of mine,by making it visible everybody else. So they would know I am not robot

No offense and I love Cappies but MAN this trait of yours, guys, drives me up the wall!
LOL The world needs communication; when you "feel" the connection, how do you think the other person knows?! You have to express it. Without expression, you are in an island all by yourself.
