They are opposite signs.. if I am correct.
What is their purpose?
Virgo likes order, right?

Pisces.. is all over the place. Is that what they can teach one another? Does Pisces teach Virgo to loosen up? What about Virgo? Does Virgo teach Pisces to straighten out their priorities? What makes Virgo an earth sign? What humanly aspects do they evoke? Sorry I don't know many Virgos....

What is Virgo supposed to teach us?

I'm a spectator, I would like to read replies, if I don't reply ASAP it's because ive wandered off to do something else. Glad we've covered that.

I kinda read the OP like, "Huh?" because I don't really get the question in a sense.

Everyone's purpose can be found in their north node, both the sign and the house it's in. Someone can be Virgo or Pisces but not have a Virgoan or Piscean purpose if their NN is in other signs...

I agree, if you're talking purpose, look at the nodes. The sun signs are just kinda...eh. Sun is ego. I know people say it's essence but it's Ego to me because western astrology generally tends to over-associate with the all-shining ego.

How do the nodes show your purpose? I've never heard of this before.
Aren't node generational?
Or do you only look at the house placements?

Smilingheart - the nodes show purpose in the sense that South Node is where you're coming from and generally North is where you're headed. They are generational, yes, but you're right about house placements - they do matter. So do aspects from planets to the nodes.

Jan Spiller does some great work with the nodes in the book Astrology For the Soul. Here's some info on the various nodes: http://www.cafeastrology.com/nodesofthemoon.html

There's a whole misconception that you're supposed to run like hell from anything to do with south node but the truth is that the SN is meant to help you master the NN. That means that the South Node gifts propel you toward you North Node purpose. Hope that helps!
