My 12th house is becoming progressively important to me so I have been looking into it more closely. I was always confused about it's being in Cap. How can you be business-like in the house of Neptune? Sounds almost like an oxymoron! I have no planets there, but Saturn apparently rules it. Natally Saturn is in the 3rd house. I would welcome any insights on what a Saturn-ruled 12th house means. thanks, Anongrl10 IP: Logged |

Seems to me like people with this 12th House cusp feel like time (Saturn/Capricorn rules time, 3D reality) is a valuable commodity and is not on their side. That time is the source of their undoing, maybe? They seem horrified of wasting time on meaningless activities and so put a premium on time management. That's been my personal observation. EDIT: see my post below for comment on book Btw, are you having a Pluto transit through it yet? Just wondering if that may be why it's becoming increasingly important to you.

No, it is where my Progressed Sun heads. Pluto will head there in a few years down the road but for now I'm mostly concerned about my P Sun. The Greene interpretation you appended here (thanks for this) seems better suited for the natal placement. I don't have anything there natally (except a bunch of asteroids lol). About the sense of time, I don't know. I always felt that I have a lot to do and very little time. I never feel bored with life! I never understood people who claim they are bored! But that's my Sag Sun, Mars in Aqua; I always have something important to do, which I enjoy and really throw myself into it. Still, Cap cusp of the 12th eludes me. IP: Logged |

Oops, it was actually this one: http://www.amazon.com/Seminars-Psychologi cal-Astrology-Development-Personality/dp/0140190864/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1323430306&sr=8-1 ^"The Development of the Personality" by Liz Greene & Howard Sasportas And it mentions that the 12th house signifies the time spent in the womb. Sorry about that! I have these two volumes and got them mixed up.

No worries, I don't think they're relevant to what I ask anyway. IP: Logged |

I seeeeeeee but that's not clear in your OP because "progressively" is synonymous with "increasingly"IP: Logged |

I explained that it's my P Sun going into it. "Progressively" in an astro board isn't "natally". IP: Logged |

LADIESSSS... I love you both, and so I'll offer up my objectivity. The OP isn't clear as far as it being about progressions. In the sentence, "progressively" reads more as "increasingly" than it does something to do with progressions. It's clarified in the follow up posts, but I feel it necessary to make a point here. (Because I'm drunk and chatty.) HAAAAAAAAY IP: Logged |

^ Good mawning to you, Mr. Cancer! Aww love you too.@ topic: Ok, with that cleared... Progression of the 12th House cusp into Capricorn could mean a period of becoming involved in community service or other structured (Capricorn) forms of service/sacrifice. But if it squares a natal planet such as Saturn, it could mean you become your own worst critic and becoming the source of your own self-undoing. HTH! IP: Logged |

That would make some sense. The square to n Saturn need not be so negative esp. since it rules the 12th in my case (it means I'm familiar with Sat's energy in my 12th house; it's the way I perceive my 12th house already). I don't know if it's your take or whether you're quoting sth you read. Both of the above are very helpful. Thanks

That's how I feel about my Neptune in Capricorn. Barely makes any sense. Capricorn is about boundaries whereas Neptune is like a nebula, oozing through.Maybe it's like oobleck... left alone it's like a liquid, but when you touch it, it solidifies. IP: Logged |

Thanks for chiming in. I feel your Neptune apprehension. At least it's in his own house there, couldn't be bad. Cap feels weird in the 12th house. It's like what boundaries? I guess it can be both positive (e.g. work related to big places/commuity) or negative (e.g. restrictions within such places). My Saturn is in Taurus and forms an inconjunct to my Sun and opposes my Jup. It doesn't read negative to me at least. I always felt my responsibilities are part of me and worked hard to achieve what I wanted to achieve. With Neptune in the 12th (and I really enjoyed the oobleck reference - so apt! ) are you feeling that the houses Neptune rules in your chart are somewhat prominent (in a good way) in your chart? Just curious and because your comment helped me articulate my Cap/12h thoughts. IP: Logged |
