Has anyone have a fear of expressing your Ascendant? The fear of being seen and feel unsafe to do so? Basically just speaking up or expressing your personality wasn't acceptable or gotten you in trouble?

I have a Gemini Rising => Mercury in Pisces 10h square Uranus in 6H. Widely conjunct Jupiter (10º) Jupiter.

Today I am more comfortable expressing myself than I was last year. For this reason I see my Gemini Ascendant shining through, however, it was marked as Cancer using my birth-certificate. I can be talkative, friendly, witty, a jokester, contradictory, and etc. I lost those quality over time because of the hate I gotten and cared too much (their feelings and what they think of me). I suppressed myself. My whimsical side.

I was told I was a flirt, I took it personally and clammed up when I just want to merely express. I was told I was too much, I try to tone down my bubblyness and laughters. I saw how my mind changes a lot, I didn't express my opinion as it can change the next minute. I didn't want to sound hypocritical or talk for the sakes of it or bring controversy. As the result, I became quiet, less opened, less friendly, less smiley and a dead soul.. and SERIOUS. I felt rejected for my personality. The only way to be accepted was through my Libra Moon - PPL PLEASING overall it made me depress

After discovering I was a Gemini rising, I start to see the pain Gemini goes through 😆People that gets me usually have their Gemini near my ASC. We can speak literally 5 diff topics at the same time. Effortless muahz and so freeee🤌🏼💗

I just found out the synastry between me and others I cannot express myself has their Saturn hard aspect either to my angle (asc/ic), sun, mercury, venus, mars, moon. 😆So.. wrong crowd! Or I can get over their Saturn negatively radiating

Pisces energy is also introverted energy and very sensitive to the “vibe” of their social surroundings. It’s not strange for you to feel out of place with the wrong crowd.

The ascendant is more than a mask. It’s the energy we radiate. It’s not fake, it’s an essential part of our personality. You can have different apple pies, with different ingredients, but they still radiate “apple pie” energy. Spicy apple pie, crumble apple pie, glazed apple pie…You can also radiate “chocolate cake” or “carrot cake” energy. Some ingredients are the same, some different. It’s like your ascendant is what makes you a type of cake. Your container energy, but within that container there still is diversity. I hope I’m making any sense. 🤣

The Ascendant can play out in many different forms like i said earlier sometimes it affects the personality and sometimes in my observation it has simply just been a mask for when you feel uncomfortable or not that close to someone or it just affects the appearance and nothing more than that. My friend has a Scorpio Asc and many times people that don’t know her don’t want to approach her because her face just looks mean and it looks like she wants to be left alone and she seems more serious then what she really is but in reality she is dying to be social and loves to meet new people and has a hard time not being sociable and being by herself for too long, she has a Libra Moon and Sun. But when she feels uncomfortable she will tuck away her Moon and Sun and ‘’put’’ on her Ascendant where she seems more guarded and suspicious but when she feels comfortable and close to you she will go straight to her Sun and Moon and you’ll see her true nature.

You wrote that the time of your birth cerfiticate shows that you are a Cancer rising and what you wrote about yourself here in my view sounds more like what a Cancer rising would do then it does Gemini. Cancer is also my rising and i also have Libra influence so i can recognize the behavior.

Totally valid SleepyDiary! I can see why you think that with the info I provided. I didn't get into my chart getting rectified, was going to hold it off until another day, on a new post. (after Venus rx). The new chart does have Cancer flavor (ASC trine Moon, Moon parallel MC). I always wanted to meet another fellow Cancer rising and observe our similarities 😆 why hello~

I had it rectified twice over time, and the first rectification was in 0º Cancer, but it didn't aligned with the transits and synastry(s) with my Asc. I hold it off for few years then requested again, and this time late Gemini. This one does hit the spot with transits. I had a square tNeptune to ASC transit for the past 2 years I wasn't aware of and the experience matches along with Mars. I have room I may be a Cancer rising however I want to use this new birthtime to take guidance with my synastry + transits in the meantime.

I feel you express your Gemini side a lot on here though and even that Uranus conjunction i don’t know how you are in person but on here i have definitivly seen it. I’ve also seen that Venus-Moon folks can get passive and quiet when they are around unpleasant people.

The Asc is like the body , it is "you" in motion. And by that extension, your skin colour, your ethnicity, your eyes, the shape of your head, your walk etc. In essence the overall energy that is YOU.

These are things that come out by default of your very existence.So the backlash one receives from these,will not necessarily "stop" them from coming out.But it'll affect our comfortability levels(Moon) being around people.

I notice that with Gem Asc, the energy of the individual (unless Sat,Plu are there)the energy expressed is usually light, playful and disarming.

It is very different to Capricorn Asc- whose energy often comes across serious, forbidding and unintentionally intense.

When you meet up with a Gemini Asc, you can get the immediate impression that "all jokes welcome ". But with Cap Asc, it is not so. So the energy here is "if you make a joke. It better be funny. Otherwise don't make it at all"☝🏿

Ahhhhh this is the story of my life. Maybe I'm using the wrong choice of word and getting all scattered brain (like pinpointing why/how). Let's just say I am not good at handling the uncomfortability of other's negative reactions (impatientness, irritability, hurts, not liking me, etc).

I find it fascinating that I can suppress my ascendant because it's a point in our chart where we show our personality automatically. Like it cannot be hidden

My Uranus is 4 degrees from AC. What about you? It also aspects all my inner planets except Venus.

It must be Aquarius on the 4th, but I too moved a lot as a child. I was always the new kid as well, and I too was bullied in 2 out of the 5 schools I attended. However I had a plutonic-transformation (the first of many) when P/SA Sun conjunct my MC.

Where is your Pluto? Mine is in Libra, in the 12th. I don’t have problems expressing myself; I’m just selective about the facets of self that I show others.

Hi!

My Pluto placement depends on the house system used. Placidus puts it in the 11th, and equal, koch or whole sign put it in the 12th.

Uranus is 0*Scorpio, and my ascendant is around 2*55.

I was telling a friend, last week, that I was adopted by one of my best friends (back home in the UK), who is a Cancer Sun, Cappy Moon, Mercury in Gemini, Venus in Leo, Mars/Jupiter in Aries (from what I remember). She's bright and bubbly, and I can be, with the right people.
