I feel like I related more with my equal house chart than the placidus! My sun and mercury switch from 3rd to 4th and my moon is in 8th. IP: Logged |

I was told it's what you feel/think fits you better. I relate better to placidus, personally.IP: Logged |

I have lost my appetite for astrology since I realised the house system dilemma.I think it's not a light topic... I don't understand how easily this problem is disregarded. On all 3 different house systems, I get different results. With each house system the story changes. Oddly, I can relate to all. This situation is pointing out something about astrology but yet I do not know what it is. Well, I am lost in space

Ive come to the conclusion that house systems influence vary depending on the aspects/houses/signs/retrogrades. I think Placidus is more potent if you have more than 3 planets in the same sign. Equal is good if your planets are more scattered.IP: Logged |

I use koch...placidius to me puts the interception in the sixth house in scorpio.... koch puts the interception in the fourth house and its the virgo pisces axis...I've been taught by an astrologer who travelled the world, and went to yale, and is currently a shaman that intercetpions mean that the planets and sign transcend teh chart...so with a pisces virgo interception...I am spiritual and detail oriented in all houses...and with a scorpio and taurus interception, I am sensual and intense in all areas...and this is very true for me...so i would say both offer a different perspective... for me, koch is more how other people see me....and placidius is more of how i see myself...contrary to popular belief it's usually the other way around......but now i see both perspectives, and have plenty of tangible evidence for this theory of interceptions to be true...i'm not sure whose theory it was initially, but it rings more true than say that the interception is inferior in functionality.....its almost like the inverse of that...like the interception puts the sign and planets in a dimension which moves across all houses and signs. interesting. i just spent a couple of hours trying out equal, whole and koch interpretations on me and my partner. for us, placidus seems to fit best although all four seem to be valid in different ways. however placidus is just overall more accurate for us, i think. i agree with you sis.

When I use Plasidus especialy on transit charts, not even one single planet's placement matches astrologers sun sign horoscopes which are based on whole sign system.Igghhhh, this has really started to get on my nerves. Think about it, I have been reading forecasts many years now.. If I choose to go for Plasidus, then all that was given to me via horoscopes will be wrong. Plasidus system does not work at all when a chart is extreme northern or southern latitudes. From my point of view, this makes it faulty. Here is an info I got http://www.byzant.com/ " Like any systematic combination of symbolic meaning, astrology is useful from the purely subjective standpoint of self-exploration, even if there is no knowable or actual correlation between the positions of heavenly bodies and events on earth. For those wishing to promote astrology as a largely objective, scientific discipline, the houses really are a major problem. A chart drawn up with one house system is different from one produced with another, and astrologers cannot agree on which house system is the most valid, even for a particular type of chart" Yeap This makes all astrologers "fortune tellers" (( Till someone invents a house system that defines all I will be a researcher of astrology. Not a believer. IP: Logged |

I just checked my natal chart & transits with Koch system. The house placement of planets both natal & transit are same as Plasidus. I think I need to apply for an academic course on astrology to obtain the information I need to make a sound judgement. Do you know which house system is the latest? IP: Logged |

Thats what I have been reading as well. When I read that my moon was 8th in Equal it made soo much more sense. Also sun and mercury in 4th!
