I think you do lead. Here, you set a unique example of long, deep, interesting, honest commentary. I know that I've felt it would be okay to make similar, in-depth comments after seeing yours. You can tell who the leader is by watching who is emulating whom. IP: Logged |

Cardinal energy is initiating energy, and by extension,it can be said that is energy of a leader as well. Leaders are not always influential, they are often just raw force, and the influence goes to the survivers of the zodiac- Les Mutables. Having said this, cardinal energy is individualistic in nature, and they are climbers, but while they climb, they are perfectly invisible. Many of them are scapegoats and their ideals and principles can be turned against them. Society needs distinctive people, and Cardinal gives so much but when it comes to social and power hierarchy,if they don't have mutable energy in them, they are fallen heroes.IP: Logged |

Yes, I was just thinking about Cardinal energy. They were made to take the first step. If you see a strong public figure who is the first to speak out, it is probably Cardinal energy. I am thinking Cardinal on the ASC would do that the most. However, where would the Sun fit in there? I think the ASC would show the person as a leader more than the Sun. That's a interesting question, I wonder about this too ...Astrology aside, I wonder, did you had the chance to "practice" leading skills? I don't see myself as a leader at all but in school we were forced to be in a leading position often. We would also be given feedback by peers of what could be improved etc. Can't say I'm cut out for the job but it really helps to make you gain some confidence and experience. Also you seem really fair minded and have good overview of things, I'm sure you'd be a good leader. IP: Logged |

A poorly placed or debilitated Saturn can do this. This is not to say a first house Saturn (debilitated by house) is poorly placed because Saturn on an angle overcomes and leads. I think you grow into it, time and experience counts, I also agree with everything VenusDiSirius mentioned. IP: Logged |

Just had a lot of isolation and difficulty socially at school. I don't know how responsible I'd consider myself: better on some things than others. My guess is that there's something else in my chart that prevents me from being chosen for leadership positions, but I don't know or understand what it is.
mine wasn't hard or even emotionally hard. i am an only child so i did have isolation. depends on the age but there wasn't much going on socially for everyone aside from the odd trip to the mall to play laser tag. i connect with this but i am saturn in scorpio h1. i have been forming alliances since kindergarten lol! most days i can be expected to do everything asked of me and even more. If Saturn is on the ascendant, the first house cusp, or somewhere in that vicinity, this has been called the chart of an “Early Riser.” This suggests that during the first years of this life, Saturn will be in the Formative Sector, very inwardly directed, as it moves through houses one, two, and three. At around 7 or 8 years of age, it will arrive at the fourth-house cusp, which always marks a major turning point, upward in the chart. From this point forward, for the next 15 or so years, Saturn will be rising in the chart, as it moves through the houses 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9.In fact, from the time Saturn crosses the fourth-house cusp (I.C.), there will gradually be an ever-increasing sense of confidence that builds within the child, turning away from a more inward and formative time, toward a more outward and social experience. By the time Saturn reaches the 7th house cusp and moves into the upper houses, the child will be a teenager, coming into a more outward and aware time, socially, at quite an early age. This young person may very well be socially prominent, perhaps a class leader or the center of social attention. This is why this Saturn placement is called the “Early Riser.”This social momentum continues to rise until Saturn reaches the very top of chart, so around 21 years of age this person is flying high, having rising to some kind of fruition prominence early on. But we should also point out that as Saturn crests the top of the chart, this marks a turning point, the end of the rising part of the cycle and the beginning of a new cycle, as Saturn moves downward through the chart. Many early-riser types have to be counseled to let the past go, and not to attempt to drive forward, because things will not go on just as they have been – always rising.Instead, there will a turning away from what was, the past success, and, very gradually of course, learning to listen to a new, and more inner, message, a message that will grow stronger as Saturn moves downward in the chart, eventually leading to an entirely new cycle of personal investment, and eventual return. So it should not surprise us that at around 30 years of age, just as everyone else seems to be launched firmly in one direction or another, the early-riser types take a turn inward, going back to school so to speak, and gets busy building or investing, while others seem to be harvesting the results of their work. The result stage of the early rise is delayed until later in their 30s, when Saturn crosses the 4th house cusp once again, and begins to rise through the chart, bringing a new cycle of social prominence and the results of all the investment work. http://nancyfenn.wordpress.com/2007/04/29/do-you-have-saturn-in-the-1st-house/ IP: Logged |

Ditto! Thanks s4nd. I have Saturn in the 12th (unless I use whole signs, then it's in the 1st) but still, this sounds like my past. I'm 36 and hope to "rise again" IP: Logged | |
