Pisces have soft features, usually watery eyes, appear passive and laid back. Usually have a more 'rounded' body frame.

Cap usually have stronger bone structure, usually really lean and have long limbs. They also seem pretty aloof and cold. Like strict in appearance and demeanour when you meet them? They're not very expressive.

They are usually go getters and are very determined, strong, not very emotional but are passionate. Also you can tell their rising by descendant. I have mine in Libra so I want a witty, intelligent, creative, well presented, charming guy.

I think the best way to figure out your proper rising sign is not only look at that, but to see where it causes your planets to fall (and into what houses). That will tell a story and some will fit better then others. Over time, and through the process of elimination I think you will be able to come to a conclusion, even if it's not definitive.

Pluto and Mars both add a lot of energy to my ASC, but Neptune disperses and softens it out a bit. The three together make me seem severe to approach, but east to open up to. Because of the Aries ASC/Libra Pluto energy, I tend to gravitate toward people who I can relate deeply with, people who challenge me in a positive way, or people who I can control (that Aries enjoys winning and being on top of the game). I think because I had to raise myself, I can come off as seeming selfish and egotistical to those who don;t know me well, but a lot of that has to do with expecting others to find their own self-worth and attend to their own needs. On occasion I think I surprise others, because I have a great capacity for empathy, but project a self-centered image. The moment a person truly needs or asks for help, the Neptune kicks in and the ram gets put back in his pen.

I love debate, but find others equate debate with aggression or competition. In a sense, it is a bit silly that I enjoy debate, because I am rarely swayed toward another person's view without hard evidence. I think the real thrill of debate for me has to do with sharpening the mind. I love to exchange and discuss contrasting ideas, because it challenges my own beliefs and either destroys or reinforces them. The Fire in me loves a great challenge, but the water influence understands that views are based on personal experience. My intention is never to indoctrinate someone into my way of thinking, but to challenge them into accepting a broader view. Conversation with people who comprehend information in a similar way, is practically sexual for me.

Regarding appearance, I was a tall and lanky child who found a lot of interest in gymnastics, soccer, dance, and performance. I especially loved gymnastics as it gives one a comprehension of how to use the relationship between energy and the body in freeing ways. I was the kind of child who was always performing, was always in the center of a ring of adults talking about more mature topics than my peers were generally interested in. I could eat anything and never gain weight, rarely wore shoes, grew up in San Diego CA, so was kind of a beach baby. When I was about 11 my ASC progressed into Taurus. Around that time I became very introverted, started gaining weight, lost interest in sports and social activities, and developed a very touchy and fearful relationship with discomfort. My ASC just progressed out of Taurus two years ago (which ended in me living at a monastery lol) and into Gemini (which I look forward to for the potential weight loss, social outlook, and writing skill HAHa). I am a bit leery about this new progression because my Gemini experiences have been so/so, but I embrace the opportunity for discovering a deeper comprehension of my Sun's opposing energy. =)
