I took a quickie look at the pSynastry and, man, I've never seen so many squares & oppositions in a relationship. Amazing. Mysterious.I like the numerology. First, the total sum of your birthdate equals 5. Second, the total sum of her birthdate equals 5. This is lifepath conjunct lifepath, I love this aspect.
Next, you were born the 28th, she on the 18th. If we scratch out the 8s, we're left with 2 & 1, yin & yang. In my research I've noticed strong attraction between 1s & 2s. If we look deeper we see 28 = 10 = 1 & 18 = 9. This shows you're the driven one, and she more laid back, relaxed & easy going. Or so the numbers say.
Hmmm, I'm trying to find an aspect which anchors this relationship. As we know a synastry chart has a bunch of aspects connecting all over the place. It is my belief that among these aspects there is one which is considered the driver. Looking at the pSynastry I think it's a Sun/Venus opposition.
Back in 1993 I saw you had pSun @ 5 Aquarius conjunct nVenus @ 5 Aquarius - a marriage aspect. Prince William had this (pVenus to nSun in Cancer) when Kate finally caught him. Next I see your pVenus @ 11 Pisces oppose her pSun @ 19 Virgo. I know, this is an 8 degree orb which shouldn't make the Sun-Venus relationship operative. However, due to the fact it's an outer manifestation of your inner Sun-Venus conjunction, I say it's operative. So I'm using it as the relationship driver.
There is a lot of activity in your pChart now in 2012. The above mentioned Sun-Venus opposition with an eight degree orb has dwindled down to 3 degrees. Whatever the symbolism, that dynamic will now be felt intensely. Additionally, your pVenus @ 4 Aries is sq your nSun @ 5 Capricorn.
So, back in 1993, you had a Sun-Venus conjunction in your chart, this was carried over into the synastry. Now, in 2012, you have a Sun-Venus square in your chart. Once more the aspect is carried over into the synastry. The signs are different, but the orbs are tighter. In pSyn a conjunction is a union, and a square should mean the opposite.
What jumps out at me is a Sun-Mars conjunction, which Paul Westran describes as a personal push for power...but I sense possible resistance.
Your have nSun at 5 Capricorn, and nMars @ 17 Capricorn. While both planets are expressed in a Capricorn way, they aren't close enough to work as a unit. The promise was, looking at the degrees, at some point in the future the Sun will catch up to Mars & you will have the benefit of a Mars-Sun union at your disposal. That time is now!!! Though the conjunction is in Aquarius & not Capricorn, the benefit is the same just the scenery has changed.
Your pSun @ 24 Aquarius is conjunct your pMars @ 25 Aquarius. At the same time, both planets are in opposition to your wife's nSun @ 25 Leo. The denotation here is a clash of wills.
