Often children tend to show their moon signs more when they are young. My sister and I, both Cancer moon, used to be so close when we young. I even used to cross over and play dolls with her. Yikes! lol
Now that we are older, the dynamics of our relations have changed somewhat. The Taurian traits of her nature show more and in my case, the Sagittarian traits dominate.
I was a demanding baby and toddler(so says my mother). I was also kind of spoilt. My earlier environment was dominated by feminine energy(grandmother, mother, female relatives) and so, I have a strong rapport with women.
My mom has Taurus moon and growing up, she was firm but gentle. I wasn't particularly all that close to her, its only as I grew older that we started a kinship, but I got on with Mom fine.
My Dad has a Cap moon and he was stern, rigid and fierce. We used to fear him(and still do). He was not warm/receptive at all and we somehow felt that he didn't have time for us or that we were somehow "in the way" of where he wanted to be. Weird!
Look to both their moons signs; children usualy enforce their moon sign needs when young because that, to them is pivotal; that is how they define their inter-action with the world.
Aries moon -typical ones you can expect expect legendary tantrums. Play with them as often as you can. Physical exercise deviates them from aggressive behaviour. Get them into sports and playing outdoors early. The girls may prefer playing with boys and competitive sports. Don't force them to be more "girly".
Taurus moons-refuses to share toys and will have to be taught the art of "giving" and "receiving". Watch out for pure stubborness too but they can be suprisingly reasonable. Establish a reward system for good behavior esp with nice goodies as a reward.
Gemini moon- this kid will want to go out to the mall to see as much as possible or amusemnet parks. Emcourage reading and talking from early age through bed-time tales or "family secrets", they'll catch on quickly.Beware of michief/trickery involving peers; somehow they know they are smarter than most and try to outwit their peers.
Cancer Moon- You may want to take your time with this child. Inherently very shy and timid, tears are usualy plentiful. Don't force them to inter-act but rather praise any intiatives taken within this regard. They usualy absorb their sorroundings and are easily threatened. When young, they may even prefer the company of grandma and grandpa than their peers.
Leo Moon- A love of all things shiny and new. Don't take them shopping, unless you willing to buy them a shiny new toy that catches ther interest. They usualy want to be seen as "better" or more special than their peers. They def don't see themselves as the "average joe". So don't expect them to be "like other kids". Encourage "home shows" or "play theatrics" with the family watching them instead of TV to instill confidence with an audience.
Virgo moon- This child may be the easiest to handle when young. They just come across as "all together". Ask them to help you prepare the table, wash dishes or do small chores around the house. Reward them with badges, stars or even public praise with neihbours and older people(make sure that the people you praise them to, are older. Ver important). Also, watch out for a tendency to contain negative feelings or show very little emotions(this is not them being "mature") and allow them space to express their bad moods with words like "its okay to cry. I think you are brave by showing you care". They can be easily frustrated and need re-assurance that all will be well(always).
Libra Moon- usualy liked by neighbours and the neighbourhood children. Acces to the home is usualy with friendS from soccer prcatice/peers. They seem to gravitate easily towards making friends and socialising quite early. Be weary, ofcourse, of them being too trusting and believing all people are good. The "don't talk to strangers" or even ride cars with them talk may be especially apt for this friendly toddler early. They tend to easily believe nice things they hear form others.
Scorpio Moon- Is there a frown on the forehead, eyes gauging out as if staring something to death? The voice seems shallow and unsure and all the time it seems like they are constantly observing/absorbing? This child is watching every human behaviour; from yours to their peers to their neighbours. Everything is put under the light. He/she may not talk much and seem to gravitate towards staying behind when "adults need to talk". There is an interest in finding things or even solving small problems. Buy them a puzzle set/ small book of mysteries. They have a keen eye for the hidden and may find that "hidden" something that you hoped to keep away from them.
Moon in Sagittarius- Who has been stealing cookies in the cooky jar? Probably not Taurus moon, because they have an innate respect for authority, but a Sagittarian moon child may reason that "well, I was taking one now so I won't have later".
It may be too easy to get annoyed, scream at and even want to throttle this bundle of joy. Most of what they do is with careless abandon and with little/no regards of consequences. There is an inquisitive mind and an explorer therein. They like to go places and see things (much like the moon in Gemini) and so, it may prove worthwhile to take them camping often/start them early at kindergarten etc. Usualy they graviate towardsz"interesting" teachers and principals more so then "boring" Mom and Dad.
Moon in Cap- It may seem like you have a lot more to learn from this child than the othEr way around. You may even be tempted to leave them to take care of their siblings whilst you run a quick errand! Dont! They are only 5 years of age. Its too much!
Often, the Cap moon toddler seems miles ahead; like they've done this before and are just going through their paces now. There is an innate surety that is already developed and the decsions they make seem to be wise. Encourage a money ethic or for them to save up for something they like through instilling a discipline ethic whilst they are young.
They may seem interested in how things become "more" when they were "less" before."Money talk" is an instrumental tool that you can use to draw their attention(even more so then their Taurus moon peers).
Aquarius Moon- Today he'll dress up as a sailor , tomorrow as a ballerina(and this could be a boy) and then another day..something else.
This is someone trying to find their own identity that is differentiating from the rest. They wont mind you colouring their hair differently from other kids and even the girls may have interests that other girls their age don't. They have a strong sense of individuality and if you discourage this, through your own conservative nature, they may rebel and be very difficult. Encourage inventions and listen to their thoughts, they like to feel like they are a "cut above the rest" and will most certainly grow up to prove exactly that. Definately a hands full for the more meek parent.
Pisces moon-Need above average protection than others(including Cancer moon). Most Pisces moon kids are exposed to extreme situations of violence, hurt and neglect from a young age(and I always wonder why that is).Be weary of letting them watch too much TV or spending too much time by themselves, it may build an inferiority complex within. Instead, nurture their creative talents(which are likely to be robust) and instill inner confidence through letting them express it with peers that understand them. This is an old soul(not in the taciturn Cap moon sense) but in the sense that few will understand what this child is really all about.
Its easy for them to project the personality of their siblings which they deem "stronger" in an effort to disguize their own. Peer pressure, bullying(either they are the victim or victimising others) are things you should be especially aware of. Exercise care and caution always as aggression may not have positive results with this kid.
