I personally think Aquarius is better suited for men. Aquarius women don't seem to know how to handle their emotions very well.IP: Logged |

I'd say both men and women equally depending on how evolved they are. The question I would ask is: is it easy being an Aquarius? Not very easy at all. But then again which sign has it relatively easy? Not many. I'm an Aquarius Rising and let me tell you having that sign on the Ascendant is a blessing however it has not been easy. On top of that being a Libra, whew, all that Air on the surface, doesn't really mix well with deep emotions. Learning how to get in touch with my emotional nature has been a challenge but I've gotten there. It's probably why I feel empathy for those who have trouble managing their emotions, especially if said individual has an Airy chart. It seems the Aquarius types feel even more detached from their emotions then any other Air sign, even Gemini's have a clue to what's going on inside, even if it's a scattered mess.Come on give those Aqua's a break. They are good people, they just have a teensy little issue with the complexity of the human emotional nature. Just my two cents. IP: Logged |

I agree with what you said Joan. Aquarians (men and women) generally do have a tough time with their feelings, except for one Aquarian woman I know who has a Taurus Moon and Venus in Pisces. She is super emotional, although if she needs to shut off she sometimes can. I think in our society it might be more difficult to be a woman Aqua only because we expect women to be more emotional than men but the truth is that there are plenty of men out there who push down their feelings for this exact same reason. I only asked because I've noticed a pattern of extravagant emotional outbursts among Aquarius women lately. And since women are expected to be more emotional than men, I figured Aquarius women spend a lot of time dealing with their emotions like a man would (repressing them) thus they come out very "messy." Whereas a man is expected to repress his emotions so it's kind of natural for them (it's probably unnatural to some but you see where I'm going with this?)IP: Logged |

Well not sure if this applies to me but with me my moon is in Aquarius and I've found my emotions a little messy recently. In general my emotions are messy when I'm overwhelmed too. I want to stay all cool headed but can't so it get erratic sometimes.

Do you feel like a pressure cooker a lot of times though? 'Cause I imagine guys feel like pressure cookers naturally and are therefore able to deal with the repression more constructively than women. Unless I'm mistaken about how Aquariuses process and wade through their emotions. IP: Logged |

OH RedScorp, I'm glad you said that. If you know other Aquas that aren't water risings - how would you compare the two? Not that this is why I made the thread but I used to work with an Aquarius guy and he walks around like he's macho but he's Super Baby. I have to treat him like he's...Dylan on Degrassi, Idk. But my point is he seems influenced by everyone around him and he gets offended easily, and just gives off this energy like he's directionless without a bossy female. Is that an Aquarius trait, or a water rising trait you think? anyone can comment on this actually. IP: Logged |

I swear he has a water rising. I really do. That or an air rising. He looks stoic, but when you start talking to him he doesn't hide his facial expressions at all and you have to be super soft around him or he gets intimidated - so I'm thinking Cancer ASC for him lolAquarius sun Taurus moon Capricorn Merc Venus Capricorn Mars in Scorpio

LOL despite Aquas having a lot of emotional issues, I still like them. Ok, I've pointed a lot of not-so-nice stuff about Aquas in some previous posts. But that's because I've been friends with a lot of Aquas all my life so I do know them, accept them, and like them with flaws and all. Maybe they're a bit too idealistic about how the world should change but they don't tend to do much self changing makes it harder on other people to deal with them. Makes it hard on me too, as a Gemini but overall, they've got quirks and if you can get pass them, they tend to stay with you for life (with periodic absences).Sure, their emotions come out in scary messy outbursts and and then everyone involved are like completely floored as to what got unleashed. Then the moment of uncomfortable silence comes in. Most Aquas will apologize for that manic unleashing of emotional terror. The ones that don't... well, it's generally agreed that they do feel bad about it. As for who has it harder being an Aqua? I would say females have it harder than the males. Probably the most attractive quality about an Aqua is intellectual aloofness and friendly demeanor. That abodes well for the male version of the species as those are masculine traits, whereas, if a female version acts that way, she's mislabeled as "cold" and most Aqua females I've met are not cold in the least. But that's me talking from a friend perspective. The men that have dated my Aqua female friends criticize them for being emotionally distant and not letting anyone in. The friends I have with Aqua moms say their moms are aloof and uninvolved. So it all depends on the relationship with the Aqua person but I think Aquas will always default to their friends over any other relationship in their lives. IP: Logged |

I have 0 emotional problems. I think people just notice Aqua outbursts more than any other sign because we seem very stoic. All signs are capable of emotional outbursts. Frankly, the two people I know with ACTUAL problems with emotion are both Cap Suns (both have been in psych wards, for instance). Personally, I don't like sharing feelings unless it is necessary and only to the appropriate people. None of my close friends would say I'm repressed. They know what my emotional nature is like. I also have an Air Moon (Libra). IP: Logged |

LOL I have noticed Cap Sun people have MAJOR issues with emotions as in they want to kill it and can't admit to being human and having to feel things. But Cap and Aqua are from the same Lord Karma, Saturn and Saturn hates emotions. That's just the way that planetary energy is.I've dealt with a billion Aquas in my life. My brother is an Aqua and growing up, it was fairly easy... everytime he'd have an outburst, I'd just roll my eyes and patiently wait for him to be done with it and then say, "Ok, I get it. Are you DONE yet?!" and he'd get really embarassed and say "Ok, yeah, sorry about that." LOL I've had a lot of training with Aqua emotional outbursts that it seems funny to me. I think most of the time Aquas don't even want you to take their outbursts seriously but for you to actually listen to them and then they can get on with their lives. I get that need and that's why Aquas tend to like Geminis so much. IP: Logged |

Neither both have to deal with the same issues just expressed in a different manner. Plus it depends on the placement of their asc and moon. IP: Logged |

On a related note.... I find it really weird how well I get along with Aquarius men. They're just like me...just as a man. I met one today and we were into alot of the same things. It starts to creep me out. Aquarius women are real sweethearts btw. IP: Logged |

They are having Uranus sextile and since Capricorn is close to aqua, lots of them are having Pluto conjunctions now too, not to mention Uranus squaring their cap placements. Saturn is also affecting some lately. Aquarius have outbursts that are intense because like the other fixed signs it takes a lot before they finally lose it, do when the do, it's crazy. IP: Logged |

I feel like my Aquarius moon affects me being a pressure cooker when I get upset. I don't always know what to do with its energy. I need a physical outlet. And it's hard for me to sit still and i want to work things out right then and there and of course that doesn't always happen. So then I'm left to deal with the discomfort of things being unsettled and not peaceful. And when I'm mad I have been known to throw clothes and stuff like that. I'm not violent towards people but I just need to physically express so like run super fast or something. I'm not comfortable with things not being peaceful. My Sun is Virgo (mercury energy) and Asc Cap. But with Jupiter and Pluto also heavy in my chart . IP: Logged |

Hannaramaa I agree.I only had one aquarius girl friend with many many aquarius guy friends because of the emotional thing! And it's not that I'm not unemotional, with my triple pisces influence? Lol no that's just it, I can see through the bullsh*t most aquarius women put on display and it smells like teen spirit. Most aquarius women rationalize emotionally with probbing and twisting and flipping then BAM !! back sitting on the floor singing the song on the radio till they heard you contradicting yourself and they want to know 'why' It's not the scorpio curiosity tho, it's unnerving cause it's in your face puzzle pieces with a remarkable hint of emotional immaturity tears at the end of each sentence of questions, an air of fakeness, and always a pattern of disfunctional twist of 'why' they feel like that. Plus most of them have anger issues that spins out of control !! Nope i'll pass. The aquarius men rationalizes life in general, which makes more sense and feels more comfortable.

hey guys, In my opinion, just an aquarius sun, doesnt show so much.. But I think men, have it worse, all aquarius men I know, including my father seem to annoy the hell out of me, despite the fact that I'm an aquarius too. Aquarius men seem to be too much of a know-it-all to me and quite pessimistic. Therefore, I really like Aquarius women, I think they're upbeat and fun to be with and look at the bright side of life. BUT, I agree with everyone saying we have a hard time dealing with our feelings. Im quite impulsive, secretive and dont open up easily about my feelings unless i trust the other person. But this is difficult for myself I mean, even if i have problem I dont really share it with anyone so it's bothering for me. But maybe it has to do with my venus(aqua) who is square my pluto in scorpio IP: Logged |
