this combo in a persons chart,

how can it work? (i guess you can ask this question to other combos that are different.)

i don't know weather to be slightly more clingy towards this person, or more airy? taurus sun?

i know the whole chart would be handy to see but, how do people with this combo, or combo's similar find tastes in things? equally combined? do you find people more attractive with the mars or venus elements in refrence to your own venus/mars signs?

Should you be more clingy or more airy?

I'm going to go with just act how you feel, don't try to hard to please water or air.

But if you are going to do anything I suggest that you make an effort to be interesting and make them feel at ease. It's possible you could get hit with the Venus in Gemini more overly, the part that craves mental stimulation and feels bored if things are dull. The Mars in Cancer influence is tactile, not something that is necessarily on display, maybe not also that they can be quite a sweet and caring person if you get to know them well enough.

yeh, well we talk alot, but our venus's are square, so its quite hard to go with how we are, coz the venus square seems to not be receptive.

the communication is there though.. mercury trine sun dw.

this probs helps stimulate the venus in gemini, my venus and mercury are in the 3rd in a wide conjunct, so my venus is some what slightly gemini, and craves mental stimulation.

but there is a bit of 'game' going on lol. and in our composite, we have venus square pluto, which is definitely showing up in little ways, (stinging each other a little)

but im trying to get it out of her (whats going on) and i don't know weather to continue being airy about it lol, coz feels like were not getting anywhere about whats going on.

its hard to take what we say seriously at times, feel like i have to keep "reading between the lines". but can't be certain. anyway, venus libra square venus gemini.

i think venus is more about the personality of the person than mars, so maybe i should just go on as i am?

From the standpoint of being a gemini venus (with an aries mars), just be yourself...don't pretend. All that matters to us is that you respect our our need for mental stimulation, our space, and individuality.

I've never noticed clingyness in cancer mars ppl, just that they have a way of expressing their anger that I don't always like. They go quiet for a long time, and then like EXPLODE out of nowhere.

I agree with Dulce Luna in this matter. The BF is Cancer Sun, Cancer Merc, Gemini Venus, Cancer Mars! When he gets mad, HE GETS MAD! He reacts in such an emotionally charged manner... it can be disconcerting considering how quickly he gets over it. After getting upset, he'll use words to cut you.

I have Gemini Venus/Pisces Mars, and the one thing I need is space. Since we both have Gemini Venus, we both understand each other's need for mental stimulation outside of the relationship... we both pursue different studies. He likes film and expanding his business while I like literature and cultural studies. We both like work, but coming home to talk to each other more. As far as Water Mars go, we both like to discuss and share the arts together. He's more into the dramatics (leo moon...) while I'm more into the humanities & literature and such... You'll find even with scorpio mars we all have an attachment to the Creative Process and the like.

The Cancer is actually not clingy, but he knows that once I come home I have all sorts of stories to tell him... Gemini Venus love a good story.

Don't forget to feed his intellect... A gemini venus/cancer mars man needs nourishment in whatever mental pursuits give him fulfillment.

Yeah, its HELLA scary when the cancerian mars finally explodes. My sister just witnessed this a few weeks ago with a friend who had gone quiet for a week over a messed up College application. One of their other friends playfully tried to joke with her and she just blew up on him with such emotional force and randomness, and started crying and ran out of the room. O__o I almost want to say they *supress* their anger far so much that it finally becomes way too much to handle, but I'm not sure that's the case. What I've also learned from people like my mother, who has this placement, is that you shouldn't be surprised when they go into a random tirade over some small petty thing from like a month ago. They didn't get over it the first time it came up. O__o

Back on the subject of the gemini venus: Yes, I appreciate it when people respect my seperate interests, it all ties into my individuality. Don't get me wrong, the watery part of me LOVES to connect with the person and feel like we're on the same wavelength, but at the end of the day I still want to FEEL like I'm own seperate person in the relationship. Speaking of which, I'm not too into merging indentities.

ahhh yesss.. i hate it when a significant other and i become "the couple" in our group of friends. even with my closest friends of mine, there comes a point where i say, "HEY! SAY OUR NAMES SEPARATELY. STOP SAYING YOU GUYS AND THEM ALL THE TIME" (ARGHHHGHGFAOIUR$@QKJB$OQY Q# PISCES MARS EXPLOSION) then i disappear for three days until i'm no longer upset...

i am my own ocean...

I wonder about these combonations sometimes. Like would it cause an "actual" difference between how a person feels about their sexuality/force(mars) and how a person feels about love/romance(venus)or maybe over time you begin to blend these two different energies. Like instead of cnfusing steam, you get a nice sensaul care free person(water mars/air venus).

I also wonder about my Moon oppostion Mars, like sometimes I wonder if my feelings are connected to my sexuality x_x..yeah I am getting off subject sorry Libralove.

also, to actually sort of answer the question, i see the mixing of energies like mixing paints. each element has it's own color, but the different signs that complete the trilogy are different shades (or tints or brightness) of each color (element).

i'm not sure why i started saying this...

a prime example of gemini venus/pisces mars fun right there...

thanks for the advice everyone,

i would like to make it clear though, i did not plan to pretend, i just feel stuck between - attached and detached with this person, and just feel unsure which i should expose more between these feelings. (moon square saturn here..)

i definitely give her enough space i think, she actually usually initiates much conversation between us when were not in person (phone texts)

can anyone explain venus square venus? does this basically mean two people could be trying to attract eachother in different ways which arn't working?

Venus square venus overall means that the two people's tastes and values are totally different. And since you're the guy, the way she tries to attract you may or may not turn you off. Once in a relationship though, it may mean each of you doesn't really like or appreciate the way the other expresses their love/affection.

I have this combo, I'm very much a Cancerian though.
I'm not your cookbook Cancer, I like to gather all sorts of info but I am afraid I don't always search in depth, and I 'm a bit uncertain in loving matters but when I decide to open to someone I can be quite chatty. I like a sweet and protective man with a friendly disposition and an equally friendly and humorous approach.
