disclaimer: i admit i am ignorant on the subject of unaspected planets , probably because i dont have any myself.

from what i've read people seem to complain about their unaspected planets if they have them, why is that? i would think an unaspected planet would be more pure in its expression and wouldnt be hindered by other planets butting in. example : an unaspected venus in aquarius would be just that , venus in aqua. whereas a venus in aqua squaring
pluto would be torn between keeping social interactions light and breezy and the desire for intense relationships. between the two i'd much rather have the unaspected venus, but thats just me. i would think that at worst unaspected planets would be neutral(unless the planet happens to be in fall or detriment etc.) it wouldnt be as favorable as having that planet well aspected, but it wouldnt be as bad as having tons of squares to that planet either. what are
your thoughts?

Hi aquaguy...

I just recently saw a short mention somewhere about unaspected planets. The astrologer's opinion was similar to yours--gives the planet "more freedom" ....

I read it's also possible for it not to link in with the whole chart. I have unaspected Uranus (no major aspects)

This subject has always been a debatable one, indeed. Do you think a planet can really be considered unaspected only if it doesn't make any Ptolemaic aspects to the other 9, excluding other bodies and points?

I just think it's hard to integrate that planet's behavior with other aspects of you life.
