My best friend is a Pisces and another long-time friend of mine is Pisces. So is my sister-in-law and few other people I know.

They are the hardest people to buy presents for!

Most of the time, I think they prefer to not receive anything (they feel guilty, 'don't like others going to any trouble for them.) Sometimes they haven't even thanked me for something, I think because they don't want to encourage any more gift giving!

If they are going to go through the trouble of accepting something (*squirm* for them), it really ought to be perfect, so they can honestly thank you for it. That's the best I can figure out.

Opinions?

Pisces suns, how do you feel about presents and is there any "sure thing" (gift certificate?) that you like to get for a gift?

I made a coffee mug and painted it my self with his name on it... The name is lop sided and I missed several places when painting it... It looks like it was done by a little girl...lol

He said he loves it, he even takes pictures of it and shows me he's using it... He said its original and something u just can't buy.. He uses it every day sayin it "my cup"

So I'm guessing something unique or original, something that can be used.. Or sentimental type if gifts.

So cute!

And thank you for reminding me...all my Pisces people love handmade gifts, too.

YES! They love it when they see you tried.. even if it's really sloppy and not perfect that's what they LOVE. Like the example with the note on my Aqua Venus thread I just posted...

Yeah, I was really nervous about giving it, cuz it's not perfect, it's badly painted.. He said its perfect, and he doesn't see anything wrong with it...
He said u made this just for meeeeeee...
People ask him, where did u get that cup from, and he's answers from my girl...

Maybe Neptune is fogging up the bad paint...lol lol

The Pisces Sun folks I know enjoy gifts, but the more tailored to them the gift is, the more special it seems.

My ex would enjoy gifts like a night-hike in the desert, herbs that I took the time to collect and dry or rare resins for incense burning, crystals with unique looks or shapes (especially if I found them someplace cool, like in a cave), a multi-tool for him to poke at nature with, hand made containers for him to keep crystals in, anything witchy looking.

My friend would enjoy a hand woven bag, blown glass pot smoking paraphernalia, clothing with Grateful Dead designs on them, comfortable pants, a drive out to the beach to watch the sunset and drink something warm.

I think Pisces really identifies with the opportunity to explore and relates well when it appears others have taken the time to explore them. If your Pisces has a hobby or niche, gifts related to that aspect of their personality are good. Utility is also a plus. The Pisces I know are resourceful people and having additional resources to play with is enjoyable prospect for them.

When in doubt (and when appropriate) just spend special time with them in a special place, ask them about their life, show interest in them. If spending time with them wouldn't be appropriate, you can always ask them about their niche and craftily inquire about the tools they have to maintain that niche, then research whatever people are saying is a really cool tool for that niche and give them that. Make sure to add a thoughtful card with a hand-written note expressing your appreciation of them.

That's at least the way my local Pisceans roll.

EDIT - As many have stated above, making something for them is always a good option too. It shows you have taken time to think about them and no sane person could find a flaw in that. =)

YES. Right! The ones I know are all gadget heads.

My bestie pampers her car and Harley...she has raved about gift certificates to Pep Boys.

My best friend got me an astrology book when he heard me talk about it. He also got me a throwing ax when he saw me "light up" while throwing a regular ax while on vacation in the woods. Haha. He is a Virgo Moon and Venus so makes sense he would be so thoughtful with gifts. Those were inexpensive but very thoughtful gives in my opinion. Two of the best I ever received. Another gift I loved was when my sister-in-law made me a magic wand when I asked for one for Christmas when I was like 10. So nice!
I am a 12th house sun conjunct Neptune so at least Pisces-esque.

Hi Lady Faith!

Something I forgot to mention, Pisces is like a dragon. They have a pile of riches they horde away, sleep on top of, and fondle through when they are feeling sentimental. Their treasures aren't gold or jewels though, they are mementos, memories, and experiences. My Sun/Neptune trine Mars/ASC does this by collecting scars. I have unintentionally collected scars from different experiences in my life and whenever I see them, I am taken back to the times surrounding the injury. I see them as tiny triumphs or evidence that I have lived.

A gift for a Pisces is cherished when it is also a memento of time you have experienced together. Something else to consider.

^ Definitely!

When my bestie and I were in high school, some of our guy friends would bring her a shamrock shake and cherry pie from McDonald's every year on her birthday. She mentioned this to her Leo boyfriend this year. McD's no longer carries fried cherry pies so...

drumroll

He MADE her some! And brought them to her work with a shamrock shake.

Gah I'm getting all sniffly just thinking about it. LOL I'm such a sap, too.

Interesting about you and your scars...proof you've walked the shaman path...
