This must be the gift bestowed by your Venus/Neptune exact trine With Moon opp Neptune self hypnotism is very easy and happens involuntarily, just by driving a car, listening to music, watching a movie, even staring at clothes dryers spinning at the laundry mat, (which is why I don't have one of those front loading dryers at home) watching windmills spin or one of those funny looking swirl circles which I don't have so I can't use one although it would probably give me vertigo and a headache. I find myself in an impressionable state or trance-like. Can you hypnotize just by staring into someone's eyes? I am sort of mystified by this process but I wonder if it is possible to hypnotize someone just by your presence alone? At school the hypnotist always did things to create hypnotism in others, sort of like biofeedback techniques. This area needs a lot more research imo into the many different applications and levels instead of just the stereotypical idea of what a hypnotized person acts like. Maybe this is the mystery to certain disorders of the psyche? IP: Logged |

Am fascinated by the subject. One can achieve so much through hypnotism. I'm very drawn to it,imagine my delight when I was told I could be an hypnotist!
Yes I believe people can induce hypnotism by staring into someone's eyes. Do you watch The Mentalist?

Are there seriously asteroids with those names, lol? I haven't read up on the lesser knowns.@Jessica I have not watched The Mentalist. Is The Mentalist really a hypnotist? I wanted to watch it but thought it might be kinda gimmicky so I didn't start watching when the series began and I don't like to start halfway through where I don't know what's going on so I have not tuned in. Is it really good?

Patrick Jane was working as a psychic,I mean he claimed to be one.He was a fraud actually.Things were going on fine for him, until the time he openly criticized a serial killer on a TV show. His wife and daughter was murdered as a response from the serial killer. Jane then joined the CBI crew as a consultant, using his mentalist powers to solve crimes and to look for Red John( the serial killer). He was seen using hypnotism in many episodes, can hypnotize people by staring into their eyes, or while in the interogation room, read into people mannerisms,am into psychoanalyzing myself,I love reading people's body language and expressions. Yes, it's a good show.I like it IP: Logged |
