My Gemini ASC makes no aspect with the planets in my 7th house (Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune) but I wondered if it was somehow affected anyway for the mere fact that Saturn, etc. are opposing my first house?IP: Logged |

Why are you necessarily looking for an aspect? The only aspect to the ASC would be an opposition or a quindecile and you don't want that coming from Saturn or Uranus. Is there an aspect between your 7th house planets and Mercury? IP: Logged |

Yes, Mercury square Saturn and Neptune. And because it helps further my knowledge about my chart and maybe in the future someone else's? Plus I want to know if opposing houses affect each other or not. I think about these things. IP: Logged |

Yes, opposing houses affect each other by the mere fact that the house containing the stellium is emphasised, while the opposite house is being neglected. The character of the house is not affected. i. e. Having Saturn and Uranus opposite your 1st house is not going to make you more Saturnian or Uranian but willl make you look for a partner with Saturnian qualities.People with a stellium in the 7th can't or rather dont want to function alone and want to share their life experiences with a partner. The opposite is said of ppl with accent on the 1st house - self-reliant, showy, a bit selfish and self-centered. The opposition of planets from 7th to 1st house would make you to "neglect" yourself as an entity and live thru your partnerships. Saturn in the 7th , however counteracts all this and makes for a lonely life. I hope not in your case, because you have other planets there as well. The square of the 7th house ruler to 1st will contribute to confusion regarding your partners in life, probably the one you want, won't like you, but the one who likes you - you dont want, etc... Basically. I can't ever seem to get it right! Interesting though, I never gave credit that my 7th house stellium contributed to my rather Libra-ness.IP: Logged |

The stellium pretty much will describe your partners to a tee. Its interesting that all three planets of yours are SO different one from another. I have a stellium in my 7th as well - Sun, South Node, Uranus, Pluto and Mercury. I havent been single since...cant even remember. IP: Logged |

Oh, I knew that, yeah. I guess my question originated because I wanted to know if these opposing planets affected how others saw me, since people you don't know well actually meet your ASC. Right?

I have a 7th house stellium. Sun and Saturn opposes my ASC. I have an empty Cappy ASC. My ASC is very prominent(and I feel the oppositions of my Sun and Saturn come into play )when I meet people for the first time, or when new people with whom I do not like to interact with or with people I know but with whom I do not warm up to,that is I do not let my leo sun shine through (lol).I believe I appear extremely Saturnine to them. I really do not know how to explain it otherwise, since people who become friends with me in the long run has told me that they would never have approached me when they first met had I not make the move towards them. Also have been told that I look mean, aloof,so hence, unapproachable But if I warm up to someone even if they are new people, they'll probably only see my leo sun at first, and then during the course of time see my saturnine side. Well I was just commenting on her post.I believed I said that my sun and saturn opposes my ASC...actual aspects, yes. If she can relate, then having Saturn opposing her 1st house may have an impact on her or on how her ASC is perceived by others. Furthermore, I can't help linking Vedic with Western astrology. Now I guess that makes me 10 times more of ''such a leo sun' /: IP: Logged |

Saturn's special aspects are on the third and tenth house from it (counting inclusively). In modern astrological terms, the forward sextile and the backwards square. In other words, Saturn's forward sextile and backwards square are as potent as Saturn occupying (or opposite to) a house, and much stronger than all of Saturn's other aspects. http://www.learnastrologyfree.com/Saturn%20in%20the%20Houses.htm IP: Logged |

Oooh I get told I look mean all the time! My confusion now lies in whether it's my Sun, Mercury, Venus squaring Saturn that aids to that, or Saturn opposing my 1st house. Maybe it's just all of them lumped together. But if Saturn opposing my 1st house has an affect, then you'd think Uranus and Neptune would too since they're all conjunct each other in the 7th.IP: Logged |
