Also number 2's ASC is exact conjunction with number 1's 5th house.

Ascendants in trine aspect with each other may suggest that the two may be similar enough to recognize similarities but different enough to distinguish differences.

Ascendants are based solely on appearance...so maybe you'll like the way the other looks. It's a trine so...I feel that it could go the other way depending one what the other wants.

Compatible ASC's is a really good thing.
It means you can get each other quite easily, at least on a superficial, mundane level.
Communication shouldn't be too difficult.

If there are other, tense aspects between personal planets, they'll be noticed of course, and it may come as a surprise because the ASC is typically quite different from our inner workings (unless the personal planets are in the same element as the ASC).

Thanks. I'm person 1 and 2 is a ex-coworker turned good friend. Over the years, or friendship has been effortless and I don't think we've ever had a fight or even much of a disagreement. Perhaps though our good communication is more to do with her Libra venus and Scorpio sun, moon, and mercury all being in my 3rd house. I was curious about her ASC conjuncting my 5th house cusp and mars in my 5th house. We've never been romantic.

I've also just noticed my sister's ASC is opposite mine, although it's in my 6th rather than 7th house. We were very close growing up, although we've become rather distant as the years have gone on.
