I have a few questions for you, do mars-ascendant people tend to be sort of self centered and narsissistic somtimes? and also are they generally attracted to venus-ascendat people and vice versa?

Any planet on the ascendant has the potential for being somewhat self absorbed. This can show up in a variety of ways in the lives of people who have this configuration.

People with planets on the ascendant can share their energy and relate to one another. So, if one has Venus and the other has Mars, they both share perspective on what it's like to having a planet on the ascendant.

As for the differences between Venus and Mars. Venus is more passive, Mars, active, and Mars is stronger in the first house. The Mars individual is going to be more energetic and decisive and since Mars is associated with the ascendant, anyway, it is well placed there. The individual could be very decisive, and quite authoritarian, depending on signs and aspects of Mars. Others could see him as tough and capable of leading. They will feel confident in his presence and want to follow him, seek him out in emergencies, stuff like this.
