HEY guys! I just wanted to hear about your artistic inclinations.

I went to college and studied documentary filmmaking and studio art. Which I love but I'm realizing how important poetry is to me! It's my religion.. I really have an affinity to words and the artistic expression of words. Writing poetry to me is one of the things that comes most naturally to me. I can write a poem as I drink my morning coffee in a matter of minutes and then later develop them more fully. Sometimes they evolve. I can make poems I feel right on the spot. I use to love reading poems like crazy such as Pablo Neruda's work, but for some reason this year I've started writing them frequently. They just gush out of me. I've never felt this creative. Im looking for work right now but I'm even thinking about sending my poems to online publications for extra money. I want to share them!

Sometimes I can look at a person and hear them talk and try to look for the words of their light. It's so important!
I get so silly talking about it.

Here are some of mine: indigair.tumblr.com

Do you guys have any strong affinity towards an art form and you feel that astrology strongly indicates it?

My Sun Mercury & Mars is in Libra. Moon is in Capricorn. Rising is in Taurus. Venus & Jupiter is in Virgo. My second & third house are both in Gemini which I think has a lot to do with my attraction to writing. My fifth house is in Leo as well. I always feel so expressive creatively, like I need to share myself with the world, and feel other people.

Also I have a desire to express my soul completely, promote ideas, spread ideas, and information. I have a ridiculous fascination with all love forms. Not entirely romantic love. But more of self love, unconditional love especially if it's from family, universal love, and humanitarian love too. It's as if words and my hands are one of my tools. Those aren' the the only ways I want to express myself and help people but it's definitely such a strong affinity. That's why I like astrology so much too because it's poetic to me. A language of symbols, archetypes, and of human souls. Patterns of energy <3 I love the mythology supporting it too! <3

Do you guys feel any affinity in your natal charts?! What are they? Id like to see your type of configuration.

I am a poetry lover and write my own poems even whenever I have something to write about.
I have Venus Conjunct Mars in Gemini(11H)
My 3H is in Libra so I like to create beauty, especially with words.
My moon trines my mercury which indicates writing talent or a love for poetry.
However,my poems are always dark and sometimes even hair rising-I blame it on my Moon Square to Pluto.
My moon is in Aquarius and I have read somewhere that Aquarius has a lot to do with authors and writing but I am not that sure.
I don't know any other aspects or placements that could indicate writing skills or love for books and poetry.
I'm very interested in actual writing and finished my first book last month.Still debating whether to correct it and publish it,tho..

The same configurations that indicate my love or artistic expression, worship and divine inspiration in a past life also reflect similar in this one. It's just what my soul does and all it is. It's very narrow imo. I am very much into niches even now.

It's also why I feel I have a soul-mate in Jack Kerouac (even though the term "soul-mate" sounds so trite and cliche - it fits.) I see similar expressions in his novels and fascination with the Diamond Sutra. He traveled around, looking for inspiration everywhere, really living in the moment and experiencing the stars and all the wonder that brings. Just looking at the night sky - that's pure consciousness. It's the meaning of The Diamond Sutra. Stars are like diamonds burning silver in indigo infinity. I love looking at them and noticing very subtle details and differences. Some of them burn a lovely blue/white. Others are much more orange-red. I never paid attention until I began studying constellations and really peered at them. Now, it's second nature, I ALWAYS notice the difference right off!

I even have it in my genes. My great grandfather was a traveling troubadour of the finest order before he settled down with my great grandmother. He toured the country with his guitar, traversing in box cars on freight trains like so many others at the time, singing for his supper in various locations.

Perhaps he speaks to my soul through the ideas of Kerouac?

I have already mentioned my astrological configurations in other threads. I am heavy on Venus/Jupiter/Neptune/Uranus, Taurus/Leo/Virgo/Libra/Sagittarius/Pisces, Ascendant/eighth house/twelfth house (depending on the chart system used. Houses can be so darn tricky due to these discrepancies.)

i love poetry and with my venus in pisces, my poetry is actually very Neruda-based but with my moon in virgo opposite my venus i always have a love/hate relationship with my own poetry. it's like it flows out of me so naturally, but yet my mind and emotional side hates the way it comes out - i wish i could write differently but my flowly romantic venus in pisces-esque poetry is always what seems to naturally comes out....it's very odd.
