Do you think there is a connection? What is your strongest sense in dreams apart from vision? Or maybe you can only see and that's all? When it comes to me, it's touch. It feels so real, especially when I touch (and kiss and...you know what ) people. When I have a wet dream I even feel pleasure THERE (even though I've never had sex in rl). Damn, there are times when it even overrules my vision which can get blurry/tunnel. Surprise suprise, my dominant element is earth. I can hear too. I don't know if it's common but I hear people's voices, they are kind of muffled though. Sometimes I can hear (and actually make it at the same time ) music and in this case it's loud and clear, like I'm using headphones. Also this sense can dominate my vision. For example once or twice I could see nothing, there was just darkness and music. I'm not sure how to explain it astrologically but it might be my air (communication) Moon and Venus and 5th house placements. I could never taste (is this even possible?) or smell in my dreams. What about you? ------------------ I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy.

That's an interesting topic, cappy.Hmm.. I can definitely see and hear well in my dreams. Touch as well. Actually touch is probably the most important after sight. I've happened to smell and taste a few times (yes, it's possible!), probably because I love scents and food so much. My elements are all balanced except for Fire. IP: Logged |

Last night I dreamt that I was (trying to) drive a bus.. and the road was so non-linear! Like it was some sort of tortuous road filled with rocks and all. And of course I was panicky as hell! There was a dude next to me, I think he was trying to teach me how to drive - epic fail, lol.Man.. I need to take a chill pill, the driving lessons are traumatizing me! And I haven't had them in a week.. The other night I dreamt that I was the first one to arrive at a competition where everyone had to run and climb some deadly rocks. I felt like I was going slow and at the end a girl was riiiiiight next to me, but I was still first. Not sure what that means but I guess it was a good thing that I arrived first. IP: Logged |

Touch and hearing for me, too. In very very rare cases smell, but usually that wakes me up. I have only Venus in Capricorn in Earth, maybe she is stronger cause she is a singleton?
Also does anyone find it easy to enter "Limboland" and treasure these experiences on the threshold between sleep and waking up?
I was wondering if maybe my Neptune on ASC has something to do with it. I talked to several friends about it, but they do not experience it like that. EDIT: I hope you know wha I mean with "Limboland", I think it might be closest to he hypagnogic state, and I noticed that while sight is rather blurry at that point, the sensual perceptions seem to be heightened.

Well in medical astrology Mercury rules your 5 senses and possibly Uranus because it rules neural activity.12th house simply because it's the house of the unconscious/Subconscious. I pretty much have all of my 5 senses when I am sleep both my senses in my dream and outside my unconscious body. IP: Logged |

Ceri, I understand Limboland -- I love it there. I feel like I'm at my creative best in that state! You already know about my prominent Neptune.I'm also very aware of touch and hearing. It's not unusual for me to have conversations in my dream state that I remember upon waking. I've had the experience of waking myself up laughing and even crying though only a couple of times for the crying. Has anyone else out there had THAT experience? I've got Jupiter within 1 degree of my IC, so that might be why for me. IP: Logged |

In my case, it's sight>touch>hearing. Water is my most dominant element followed by earth. Mercury in Sag, 6th house. 12th house in Taurus, venus in Libra 4th house. IP: Logged |

YES on everything you wrote. Actually my parents and even a friend remarked on how I would be laughing in my sleep (and speaking different languages, my mom said that once, when I was still a teenager and they came home and I was asleep, but lightly so, and she would always say goodnight,e ven when I was already asleep to see everything has been alright, and I answered her in a different language. I think she said it was Greek, could have been Russian, too. lol) And yes, I woke up laughing, too, sometimes. But then again, my mind often keeps me entertained on its own, like the ongoing commentary about things that are happening; like on that occassion when I apparently said something unusual and every noise around me died and everyone was staring at me, and in the back of my mind I could hear that voice saying: Ding-Dong, the witch is dead.
It is sometimes difficult to keep a straight face, cause noone else of course would know about that "soundtrack" in my mind. It`s not really a voice, like I suppose you hear when you are chizophrenic or something like that, just a little commentary, cause my mind just never shuts up. And if I cannot say it aloud, I have to at least think it. But anyway yes, also have had the conversation thing, and sometimes I am hearing very weird things indeed. This morning for example I was hearing someone getting married (the whole and hereby I pronounce you - you know the rest), a bit muffled, distorted like coming from a distance or another time,b ut very audible. And on English. English is not my mother`s tongue. I shouldn´t dream in English!
BTW do you sometimes feel, when in LImbo, that you are not quite alone?

I can feel every touch, taste and hear things(though at times muzzled). I lack fire. Earth and air are my most dominant elements. I have enough water.IP: Logged |

My strongest sense probably hearing. I my dreams I have twelfth house placements. Sometimes, when the television is on or music is playing, my dream becomes a plot that goes along with it. It's very creative of my mind, managing to figure out a way to incorporate the sounds.IP: Logged |

I'm very glad of all the people who walk around with "Bluetooth" and hands-free cell phones -- makes me seem less "crazy" for suddenly laughing as I walk down the street. Like you, my mind keeps me constantly entertained. I've got Mercury in Aquarius in my 5th house. It's opposed by Uranus in Leo and receives a trine from Mars which also sextiles Uranus. My brain is always active and usually quite entertaining. I've occasionally shared my thought processes with friends; one told me "you've got a mind like a cartoon strip!" I'm thinking the Jupiter influence must be responsible for the waking up laughing. There is 70 degrees between my Jupiter and my Neptune so it COULD be a loose quintile. I've got my own term for "limboland"; I've called it "the twilight zone" until I heard your term for it. As to feeling a presence, I'm not sure I can actually answer that. I believe that God is always with me, so I've just chalked it up to my being more consciously aware of his existence. I've also (rarely) been aware of a protective angelic presence but that was in time of extreme need. I can't say that I've felt like there was any kind of physical entity. When I experience a very strong sense of touch in a dream, on waking I can trace it to something tangible like the texture of a blanket or something. In fact, what I can feel while asleep has actually impacted my dreams. Tell me more about what you mean by "not being quite alone". IP: Logged | |
